Star Wars REDEMPTION and FREEDON NADD

What is the problem with these highly sought after books. Why does Dark Horse not reprint them anymore. They are some of their VERY best, yet are nearly impossible to find in any form.
Is there a way to start some petition for them to do a second printing?

 

IIRC, one of the DH guys here said that "soon" they will reprint the TOTJ line.. but when is "soon" i wouldnt hold my breath

 

I thought they were releasing a big ol' compendium..

 

Seems they will, in the not so far future, possibly in two volumes.

 

I had no idea Redemption was so hard to find. I've seen it in a few book stores, and I got mine relatively recently from one of TFAW's half-off sales.

 

Yeah, even my local library has Redemption, and that's saying something.

My local library had the Empire's End TPB for a while. And then it mysteriously disappeared...

My library system has Redemption. It's actually getting shipped to me right now.

 

I couldn't find the TPB, but the individual issues were very easy to find. Twice more too if I want...

 

Neither TFAW or Amazon has Redemption at the moment, which was an earlier one to this moment now.

 

I thought the re-release for the TotJ storyline was supposed to be this April. Anyone know how I could have gotten that notion in my head.

 

Come on, people!!! These books are for everyone. Libraries make so little money. When you steal from a library, you are stealing from so many people and that is a very, VERY selfish thing to do.
Don't give in to the dark side!!

I steal from my school library all the time. Sometimes I'd return them, but...the chekout process took too long and getting fined for not returning it on time sucked.

I'm totally for stealing from libraries. Trust me, not enough people appreciate reading to care.

 

What about supporting Dark Horse, all the people that bring us these awesome books? When you steal, you do much more damage than you realize.
If you simply want to read the book, why not just borrow it, read it and return it? If you prefer to own it, spend a little of your allowance (if you get any), or earned money (if you are not too lazy to do some work).
Believe me, just like in the Star Wars universe, "The Dark Side" leads only to destruction, especially of oneself.

 

Right on. Those books are supposed to be there for everyone to use, and even if you can't borrow it all the time because someone else is reading it, how can that compare to finding that someone's decided to take it out on a "permanent loan" and not being able to read it (for free) again?

 

As a future librarian, I fully endorse these two statements! A library isn't, and shouldn't be, anybody's personal bookstore. That's completely contrary to the concept of free access to information for all. As QM says, those books are there for everyone. And anyway, stealing for selfish reasons is never cool

 

Yeah, plus library books always have that nasty plastic crap all over them. I don't want that on my bookshelf.

 

So the Redemption TPB is going for 199.00 on ebay right now. When was that compendium due again?

 

I think I can probably speak for myself, Coop, and others in here when I point out that our tongues were stuck so far into our cheeks as we typed those that they punched straight through, and were coming clear out the other side.

(Too bad they've yet to make an emoticon for that one... )
