This thread is dedicated to the many episodes of various TV shows, movies and other references that have been made in honor of Star Wars over the years.

It is broken up into three areas: TV, Movies and Other keeping it simple you may post whatever reference you come across and it will be added into a 'master list' in the main post. Please view the list to avoid multiple references :) :)

Just list the TV show, movie or other with an episode name (for TV) and the reference. Keeping it simple since some directors (Kevin Smith) and shows (Family Guy) have made numerous references. Discussion is also welcome on the references!

    Star Wars movie references:

E.T. -Elliot shows E.T. his Star Wars figures, also has ships hanging from ceiling.

The Sweetest Thing- Men at driving range use golf clubs as sabers quoting ESB

How to Deal- Mandy Moore's boyfriend collects Star Wars 'action figures'; not toys

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure- While in mid evil England, Bill and Ted use swords as lightsabers.

Can't Hardly Wait- 'Geeks' use Moff Tarkin and Boba Fett for a plan to humiliate the jock who tortured them. Also play flashlights as lightsabers.

Boogie Nights- "Did you see Star Wars yet?" "Yeah like seven times"

The Devil's Rejects- Prostitute at a cathouse says dressing up like Princess Leia would bring in more clients.

Sky captain and the World of Tomorrow 1138 can be found on Dr. Jenning's door. (I know THX but it is in Star Wars so much as well)

TV Star Wars References (some by show name)

    Family Guy
Season 2's 'He's to Sexy for his Fat'- Jabba the Griffin

    Other

There are tons of references out there and I don't want to hog it all up, help us get a master list together!

Last night I was watching 24, and the bad guys put a tracking device on Audrey's car.
I said aloud: "Did your men install the tracking device on the Millennium Falcon?" "Yes, my Lord." ;)

"That 70's Show" has had several SW references, but the biggest was the episode where the entire gang saw ANH for the first time. The main character, Eric even had a dream sequence where he was Luke Skywalker and the rest of the cast played characters from the movie.

"Robot Chicken" has focused on SW a few times including once where they acted out a 'deleted scene' from ESB with the Hasbro 12" figures. Mark Hamill even supplied the voice of Luke.

The show "News Radio" from the 90's had references as well. One time, at a poker game one of the characters brought his Boba Fett action figure to the table as a good luck charm.

haha, see, there are so many out there.

Family Guy the DVD movie, has in the 'Grind my Gears' news segment with Peter. 'You know what grinds my gears? When you can;t find the froids your looking for' and it cuts to two stormtroopers sitting on the couch agreeing with Peter. Sorry for grammar, I am soooooooooooooooo tired.

Hillman had a SW reference the other day when he was talking about how the mayor was sending the stormtroopers to check out a gas station that was charging $90 to park there for Sox games.

Family Guy tonight had another SW reference. An attorney showed up at Peter's father-in-law's home to tell him he was being sued. The F-I-L told him he could sue after he defeated the Rancor first. A trap door opened and into the Rancor pit the attorney fell. He defeated the Rancor in the same manner Luke did in ROTJ.

AHAHA, I missed that. I saw the last few minutes of the show. I did see an Orkin commercial with two kids playing with lightsabers today.

They eventually meet each other and aren't to happy with the guy.

The guy's friend turns to him and say "Problem with your droids?"

Oh man that had me rolling.

A quick Star Wars reference I can think of:

One of the season finales of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Willow went super evil witch. One of the guys she is chasing refers to her as Darth Rosenburg (her last name)

I think the Peter as a taun taun and the Jabba the Griffin are the best for that show.

Hillman had another SW reference today. They were talking with Mike Shu about Star Trek and then Hillman was like I am trying to get my kid off SW and hoping Teeball would help. He went on to say that when his kid first tried teeball he used a lightsaber instead of a bat.

    hahahaha

Regis and Kelly this morning (Wed) had two Star Wars references. Kelly said 'Jedi mind trick' and when they cut her hair they used the Imperial March for music.

On Conan Monday night they had the guy from the 'One Man SW Show' on. He did the first few minutes of his show during one segment. Pretty funny and entertaining.

During today's telecast of the National Heads-Up Poker Championship on NBC, analyst Gabe Kaplan, while commenting on Josh Arieh's wraparound sunglasses, said, "Next thing you know, they'll be wearing those Darth Vader helmets."

Anyone else catch "Robot Chicken" last night? They had a classic SW skit with the Emperor sitting in his chambers on Coruscant talking with his aides when Vader calls him to tell him what happened to the first Death Star. Absolutely classic. The Emperor tooled on Vader for not being able to protect a 2-meter wide exhaust port from a bunch of teenagers. [face_laugh]

I think CN will repeat it a couple more times this week if you want to catch it.
