    Darth Animus
    Orbalisk, deck 66
"The man had detonated his residence with high-grade explosives to cover his tracks. However I was able to recover critical information. First, that his name is Quin Cerrone, a Serreno engineer who's been constructing modified and illegal hardware. Second, that before he fled he had made contact with an unknown person whom he addressed as 'Vorath.'"

" VC, run Vorath through our Data Banks."...Perhaps This Vorath was the Jedi from the plaza, Both were present, attempted to lessen the impact of the explosion, A splinter from the order the Zabrak was too close to the Darkside for affiliation with the Jedi Order...
"Though the probabilities of other being aware of our movements is still in lower percentiles, there is still a chance that these two may be aware, or may be part of a larger movement against us. I ask your permission to pursue this man to evaluate the threat, and to resolve this matter as I find necessary."

" I do agree the probability of anyone, is absurd at best. It is still horrible unwise to not investigate further. If there is an organization that is aware of us they need to be eradicated. You may pursue this Quin Cerrone, but the resolution will be his capture and this Vorath if at all possible. Return to the Orbalisk, Hillel shall accompany you." Ge-gor was keeping something that much was obvious, but other things concern Darth Animus.

    Rickant Urithan
In the outer atmosphere of Serenno

Rickant didn't flinch, his professional tone didn't waver in the slightest. "Yes lord. I shall return to The Orbalisk to retrieve Hillel." With those words Rickant closed the com. Beneath his helm, Rickant ground his teeth in frustration. Somehow Animus had still seen, at least partly, through Rickant's lie. What was worse than Animus' mandate to capture and not to kill, was that the escort was no doubt meant to ensure Animus' will was enforced. Hillel. Rickant knew very little about him, and that was a problem.

Rickant couldn't help but linger on his memories of holochess games, his calculated strategies won every game he ever played. Though his opponent may not have been checkmated yet, every move led to the same conclusion: defeat. Such seemed to be the gravity of Rickant's situation. For Rickant to survive, Quin Cerrone had to die, yet this was now impossible for he was to be delivered alive. Despair weighed heavily on the assassin's heart. Was death inevitable for him?

No. Rickant wasn't trapped yet, he had merely made the mistake of ignoring all his options. There was still many moves left to consider. Just not right now.

Right now Rickant had to return to The Orbalisk and plan his next move. He still didn't have any leads as to where Quin might have escaped to. Rickant pulled up his shuttles console and plotted his return course. Perhaps patience was all that was needed for now, wait for his opponents to reveal themselves, and when they did Rickant would be ready. Rickant set his com to his private channel. "This is the Gre-gor. Assemble my greyskin elite, units a01 - a05. They are to be fully outfitted for combat and prepped for immediate departure following my arrival on the orbalisk. They will be briefed en transit."

Whatever was to come, Rickant would be ready for it, and he would be patient.

    Vorath Din
Shadow of the Saarlac, Orbit of Serenno
Vorath's mood had only soured since he had returned to his ship. He had placed Quin in his spare bed, suitably placed in the cargo hold that housed his workbench. The boy still slept, though his wounds were healed. After leaving the improvised guest room, Nihilus started yelling out. It had been two hours, and the Sith still raged on. Vorath massaged his temples as he punched in the coordinates to Korriban. He looked to his side, at the datapad he had been looking over since his return. He had been arguing with himself about whether he should inform the Jedi of his findings. Surely they were better equipped to fighting Lord Freke than he was. Ultimately, he had decided against it. He had fought too many Jedi in his time, and old prejudices ran deep.

A crash nearly caused him to jump from his seat. Vorath grimaced, sencing Nihilus' restlessness. He rose, slowly walking to the holocron chamber. The door opened, revealing his collection strewn upon the group. Nihilus stood with his arm outstretched, turning his head to meet Vorath's gaze. Vorath met the spirit's gaze with a cold intensity. Nihilus began to speak once more, condemning Vorath's decision to leave the planet. He should strike at Lord Freke now, and abandon the boy to live or fail of his own accord. Vorath listened in silence, slowly placing the holocrons back on their respective shelves. The Sith had become more agitated than he had ever been before. Vorath was content to ride this tirade out until Nihilus called him a fool of a Jedi, claiming that he should just submit to Lord Freke since he planned to avoid a confrontation.

Vorath didn't recall drawing his blade, but Nihilus grew quiet as he pointed it directly at the holocron. He also realized that he had completely revealed his force presence for the first time in several decades. The Sith almost seemed to be appraising him now.Vorath softly said "I don't accept condemnation lightly Sith. You hunted from the shadows as well, so I do not wish to hear your complaints. From now on, you shall refrain from commenting on my actions. Otherwise, I'll destroy you". Nihilus looked on in silence as Vorath began to exit the chamber. He spoke once more, claiming that Vorath could become a great champion for the dark side, that he could delve deeper into the nature of the force than any other had before. Vorath paused, remembering how those words had seduced him so many years ago. He had been looking for impossible answers, and he had wanted to believe the Sith. He no longer believed that any more than he believed than answers lay with the light side. "You share the same weakness as the Jedi. Light and Dark are meaningless distinctions. There only is, and only ever has been, the Force."

He closed the door behind him, placing the saber back at his side. He noticed he was still holding onto a holocron, strangely enough from one of the Jrdi who had rebuilt the order after the First Purge. He placed it in a small pouch at his waist. He stifled a yawn, barely resisting the urge to return to bed. He should check on Quin again first. Maybe he could discover what he had been escaping from.

    Quin Cerone
Shadow of the Saarlac, on course to Korriban

Quin wakes up in a daze to the sensation of falling. He screams out "...noNoNO-" before feeling himself hit the ground flat on his face after only about 2 feet of falling. He lays there for a while, still stunned that he was actually alive and breathing. He gets up to find himself in a cargo hold next to a bed that he was sleeping in just a few short moments ago. For a moment he feels panicked and confused, but then he starts to notice that the cargo hold looks vaguely familiar.....

Of course, this was Vorath's ship! Quin felt his panic dissipate. He sat on the bed to take a moment to gather his thoughts. Was he completely out of danger now? This ship was most likely on its way to Korriban now so he was definitely far away from Carleo, and he managed to blow up his home so that lead was gone. He let Vorath's name slip out, so that was something he would have to tell him. But besides that had he left anything else for Carleo to track him with? Did he make any more mistakes? Quin racks his brain, having this aching feeling like he was forgetting something...

Finally he remembers. "Oh no, don't tell me i didn't-" He sticks his hand into his satchel in state of alarm. His fears are once again dismissed though, as he found what he was looking for. The holocron that Vorath had given him was still inside. Quin collapses back onto the bed in relief. He had managed to escape without leaving Carleo any more clues to work with.

Quin takes a look in his satchel once more to take an inventory of what he still had with him. A heat sensor, an oxidizer, one of his mom's collision shield walls (*CSW*), a few grenades, a palm sized ion gun, all of his tools, and finally his Sonic rifle (still in needing of some repairs). Quin takes the magnet on his arm off and puts it back in its place. It had certainly earned a break after all it had had done for him tonight.

Quin walks out of the cargo bay to find Vorath. He go's from room to room looking for him, but stops in his tracks at the ship's lounge. He walks up to the large window to see the light from millions of stars wiz by. Quin had never actually left Serenno before now, so the surrealness of hyperspace was still new to him.

Quin got the feeling he was going to have to get used to a lot of new things.

    Vorath Din
    Shadow of the Saarlac, Hyperspace
Vorath didn't have to search far. He found Quin staring out at the stars passing by as he stood in Vorath's meditation chamber. He found himself smiling in spite of the situation. The lad had probably never even left his home city before, let alone the planet. Vorath somewhat envied him, he hadn't stayed on a planet for more than a year in the past several decades. With a small chuckle, he walked up besides Quin.

"Quite the view, isn't it? Thousands of live passing us by every moment, like they were nothing. Yet every one of them has the potential to change the galaxy. Makes you think." He looked over at the younger man. "I hope waking up here wasn't too much of a shock. With your apartment destroyed, and that truck going to who knows where, this seemed like the best option." He paused, grinning "Besides, now I can keep an eye on you. I look away for five minutes and you get yourself in trouble"

He wasn't sure if Quin would appreciate the humor yet, but that was the best response Vorath had. He doubted Quin would want to be pelted with questions right away.He would open up in time. For now, he would just appreciate the company.

    Belved Garon
Eye of the Valkyrie, en route to Serenno
None of the news from Serenno made any sense. Assassins that left Lord Freke alive, and then explosions among the crowds. It was as if someone had wanted to spread chaos. Yet confusion seemed to be the greater reaction. First witnesses began reporting that some of the people in the crowds emerged without any discernible injuries. Then their well-being was attributed to a mysterious cloaked figure. And on top of that, there was an investigation into an unknown gunman who allegedly fired several shots shortly before the bombs went off. Nothing fit together, especially once he listened to Freke's tirade againt the Jedi. He would stand by his assumption that the Kel Dor was behind the deaths, but the gunman and the cloaked figure seemed to be unintended. Belved sat back with a sigh as he stretched his neck.

Every fiber of his being wanted him to march towards Sheppard's Watch once he arrived. The attacks would give him a diplomatic cover, and he would be able to assess the threat firsthand. Yet he would stand by his earlier decision. At the very least, it would give him a chance to communicate with the Council. He hadn't received any response to his message, but he knew it was coming. It was a shame that he wouldn't have any solid answers to give him. Until their arrival, Belved decided he should make an attempt at sleep. If only to stop thinking for just a little while.

    Rena Vanesk
The Va'nar, en route to Serenno

"Anything else?" Rena asked Captain Vanesk.["No, I think that's all."] the Captain replied, ["The trip itself shouldn't take us more than a couple hours, by the way, so it'd be best to keep that in mind."] And with that, Rena's commlink went silent. Rena stood, and flicked her commlink to standby, then quickly programmed the computer to take them to Serenno. Once the coordinates were set, she then turned, and walked back into the main area of her ship. The droid was there, turned off, and sitting, dark and silent. As she looked at him, she pursed her lips. He should not go there. If there WAS darl activity there, then they would be taking the droid to the one person who probably wanted him. She had done her part. She promised to get him off the planet, and she had. She didnt need him here. It would be nice to have a protocol droid, but not during a possibly dangerous mission. She walked back, and quickly scanned her maps, and then smiled. She sat back down, and began a few calculations. Perfect. And if things worked out well, she could always come back. But if not, at least there was someone there to keep him intact, if nothing else.

Rena reached out, and began to send a coded message to a companion of hers. She waited a few moments, and then she received a response. With a soft chuckle, she leaned back, and then sent off a message to both Master Garon and Captain Vanesk. ["I am making a quick stop. I will catch up with you within the hour. Don't wait."]

With that Rena turned her ship, heading for the place. It was on the way, and Rena knew time was of the essence. Rena kept an eye on the droid Arney, until her thrusters began to fire, letting her know that they had reached their destination. She suddenly turned sharply, and all three ships dropped into hyperspace -

    ------
    Sometime later
The Va'nar, Off the beaten path, in between Muunilinst and Serenno

Rena walked off the gangplank of her ship, orange hair moving in the breeze. A very tall, dark skinned man, looked over her way, and grinned, teeth shining. "Hey Rena. Long time no see! I hear you be bringing me presents this time?" he asked her, as he walked over, shaking his head. "Dunno how I feel about the orange hair though."

Rena laughed. "Well, yeah. Let's just say we wont be doing THAT again, anytime soon." He reached over and grasped her arm, in a general greeting. Rena handed over a large bag, which he looked into, and the beamed, the smile growing even bigger across his face. "Oh, this must be for that 'special request' you messaged me about." Rena nodded. "Yeah, you could say that. She then turned, and gave a yell. "Come out, Arney!" The dark blue droid slowly walked out from her ship. The man whistled. "Interesting paint job." Rena threw up a hand. "It did what it was needed. So, you think you will be able to do what I requested?" The man nodded. "No sweat. But why all the precautions?" Rena grinned. "Oh, you know me. Let's just say that I got a bad feeling about some things, and until I take care of em, I want to make sure, ok?" The man looked the droid up and down, and then held up the bag. "Hey, for this, its more than a decent trade. Always like doing business with you Rena."

Rena walked over to Arney. "Arney. You are to stay with them for awhile." she quickly explained. "If things go well, I'll be back. If not, well, you awill be intact. They wont take you apart. But you will shut down now. For your own safety while you are here." My own safety?" Arney asked. The big man walked over. "Yeah. The electromenetics being used to hide us and you... Well, care not exactly safe for you. Not until we add shielding. But not worries man, wont hurt a bit." The man gave Arney a huge thumbs up. Arney looked over at Rena, and she could swear he looked very unhappy about it all, and if the thing could pout, it was doing a good impersonation of it.

"All right Mistress. I shall wait for you here." The big man grinned. "Alright, Arney is it? Just sit up here, and we'll tke good care of you." With that, Rena watched as Arney sat down on a platform. Within a few seconds, he went dark, and Rena could hear the hum of mechanics. She gave the huge man a nod. "I gotta run. You guys keep your eyes open, willya? I would hate to lose my best patron." The big man laughed. You too Rena. "You're one of my best customers, Hard to come by." With a grin, she quickly re-entered her ship, and quickly took off. She had left specific instructions. To protect both Arney and them as well, just in case any nasty surprises were left behind. And while Arney would remember her, he would no longer have the memory of the other stuff, among other precautions she had done.

She moved her ship to the far side of the planet, before she lifted off into the skies, and out of the atmosphere. She had taken precautions, when she had landed as well, as well as relying heavily on the Force. If anything was following her, well... they werent. Where she had gone, was well hidden, shielded, and in a mist of several planets. That, and the place was well known for not liking 'unannounced visitors', and could take care of it.

With that one problem taken care of, Rena headed back to join up with the others. If nothing had happened, and they had not been attacked, they would still be on the last heading they had agreed on. It had also freed her mind, to come up with a cover story for the Captain. The people of Serenno were known to be very proud. And believed heavily of the rank caste. Many Count's came from that planet, including many known to the Jedi Order. So politics played heavily in that area. To go in blindly, could have quite a few repercussions. She thought again, of what Master Garon had mentioned earlier about Vorath Din. Could he have anything to do with this as well?

Rena leaned back, and contemplate within the Force, stretching out her awareness to try and feel the subtle flow of energies around her, as she moved to catch back up with the others.

    Sigeil Kast, Dxun

Throughout Sigeil's many years of service to the Empire, he has defeated many of her enemies; Mandalorians, Para-Military Organizations, The Hunt Cartels, and countless mercenaries. Only once had Sigeil ever fought another force user. To kill a Sith Lord is a feat few have every accomplished, to capture one even fewer. Sigeil knew how difficult this mission was going to be, having so little experience with other force users in combat...but how was he going to defeat something he couldn't touch. “I can taste your Fear, boy!” slighted Nadd, The Knight kept his tongue, know all his concentration was needed for this battle, digging his heels into the sand our knight tightens his defense, even with his incredible speed stones and loose debris continue to strike Sigeil. Calling upon the force Sigeil is able to increase his speed tenfold, but even this was not enough to protect Sigeil, for the debris started getting bigger and there was more for Sigeil to cut. Sigeil decides to delve deeper into the force increase his speed even further, soon there was no longer a man but a sphere of silver light. What stones Sigeil could not cut were cast away by the sheer force of his swings. Even with this power behind him, Sigeil was unable to stop everything as a brick from the wall caught him against his cheek. ...this cannot be, how was this able to get past me, I don’t think I have ever moved this fast, but still I am being struck...this angered Sigeil as with this anger he reached out farther then he ever had before, farther then he knew to be possible, He could feel the the burning power just outside of his reach and somehow he knew all he needed to do to gain this power was to push a little more with his anger and he could defeat his foe, unaware that this battle was one of delirium.

    Quin Cerone
    Shadow of the Saarlac, Hyperspace

Quin lets a long silence go by before he responds to Vorath, but then he just lets out a soft week laugh as he backs up and sits in the nearest chair available. "Trouble?...... Yep, that's definitely the word for it." Quin states in an exhausted tone.

Quin sits there quietly for a bit. He was still finding it hard to wrap his head around the situation he was just in, but he figured now was the time to get his story straight. He was going to have to try to tell it in just a second after all.

Quin gets out his data-pad and begins replacing its broken screen. He made sure to keep a spare screen for it in a small soundproof compartment in his satchel, as he knew that if he ever had to use his *SOG* he would be forfeiting any glass he had on him to its high pitched wail. Now seemed like a slightly rude time to be doing repairs, but Quin found that easy menial work always calmed him down. He would need to be as relaxed as possible to tell this little tale, as just thinking of some of the insanely stupid things he did just a little while back started to fill him with anxiety.

"Welp, proceed." Quin says with a slight chuckle.

    Vorath Din
    Shadow of the Saarlac, Hyperspace
Vorath looked at Quin. He appeared to look exactly the same as he had before, but something was amiss. It's his eyes. He's grown older. Whatever he experienced has changed him. He moved forward, looking out the window. He looked back, with a small smile "We'll save the questions for another time. It's been a rough day for both of us, we'll worry about it when we get to Korriban." He walked over to a small cupboard, revealing a small selection of Corellian whiskeys. He had gathered the bottles over many years, mostly as gifts from people he had worked with. He selected a half-full bottle of Whyren's Reserve, fondly remembering the family that had given it to him as he poured into two glasses. It had been something to do with pirates attacking their cargo ships.

He walked over to Quin, placing his drink in front of him. He walked to the window again, drinking slowly. He let the smile fade away as he watched the stars pass by. "I wanted to make sure you were completely healed. You weren't looking too good when I found you. Outside of that, just make yourself at home." He turned back to Quin, smiling again as he finished his drink. "And unless you have anything else for me, I am long overdue for a good rest"

    IC: Naviid R’juna
    Deep Caverns, Dxun

It took all his wits just to keep his focus. Cresting tides of anger, fear, frustration and all manner of mental miasma threatened to breach through his mental barriers, but he was far too stubborn to let that happen.

The roaring within the room engulfed his ears to a point where he could hear nothing else. Rocks and debris spun at dizzying speeds inside a fierce whirlwind. He could hardly see his friend, Sigeil Kast, but he could certainly sense him.

Master Kast was in grave danger.

    Danger from the darkside.

His rage. The anger emanating from Kast was deep and pure. Reaching levels that Naviid had experienced very briefly and thankfully, only a few times during his childhood. But his anger had been of titanic proportions, enough to earn him that terrible nickname.

He was fortunate that his young age had acted as a buffer. But had he been that full of rage as an adult…

    SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG!!!!!

The Imperial knight hollered at the top of his lungs as he reached out in the force to his friend. It felt as if Sigeil was being consumed by rage and darkness, one so profound that the man he knew would certainly be lost.

    SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG!!!!!

Naviid called out again and again, knowing that he had to be the one to keep calm. With his lightsaber already drawn, he moved closer towards the whirling storm of rocks and debris, hoping that he was not too late to reach his friend.

They both needed to get out of the sith tomb, the sooner the better, before it was too late for either of them.

    Belved Garon
Eye of the Valkyrie, Orbit of Serenno

When Belved woke, he was somewhat glad to have arrived at Serenno. With the scene of the bombing within his reach, he at least had a chance to discover its cause. Fortunately, with the time it would take for Master Vanesk and Miss Zander to carry out their plan, he could personally investigate the city. He wondered absently if either of them knew anything about the attack. If not, he would inform them immediately. He began walking to the holocommunicator as he quickly searched for any more information related to the attacks. Seemed that an apartment in the city exploded, though the owner was a shut-in with a penchant for technological experiments. The man probably caused it himself.

He took his time calling the other two ships, his mind still preoccupied. Too much seemed wrong to him, and even though answers were within his reach, hiding in the nexu's lair seemed unwise compared to facing it outright. No matter he thought. Perhaps they have possess more wisdom than I. He waited for both of his companions to connect before he transmitted the news reports he had been watching. "Carannia has been attacked." Belved kept his voice strong, despite his weariness. "Allegedly several Jedi led an assassination against the Dem family, then set off several explosive charges in the crowd that had gathered for one of Lord Freke's speeches." He allowed his companions to soak this information in before continuing. "Neither I nor the Council knows of any Jedi in the area, and this seems too coincidental for me to believe. Now, how do you propose we react?"

    Quin Cerone
    Shadow of the Saarlac, Hyperspace

Quin turned his head upward to face Vorath in surprise. This wasn't the reaction Quin was expecting at all. How could Vorath not want to ask him what happened at a time like this? Quin certainly would have had a couple questions if he found his friend hanging from the side of an air-truck.

But Quin could tell that wasn't too important to Vorath right now. Vorath just seemed to be happy that Quin was alive and well. Quin's mind stutters a bit trying to think of what to say to Vorath before he leaves. Eventually he settles on "....Thanks.". Quin grabs the drink from the table and takes a sip. It was way too strong for his tastes, but Quin wanted to seem grateful right now so he resisted the urge to spit it out.

    Vorath Din
Shadow of the Saarlac, Orbit of Korriban
Vorath looked down at the planet below, oddly reminiscent. It seemed like a lifetime had passed since he had found Nihilus in one of the many tombs beneath him, since he had fought his first Jedi. And once more, he came in search of answers. He hoped that some record of the One Sith's passing existed, or perhaps some spirit that knew something. But what would he do with that information? He had no idea how many Sith were left, or what other allies Lord Freke might have. All he had on his side was an introverted inventor. He knew what he had to do, though he wasn't happy about it. He had run out of excuses, it was time to tell the Order.

It took him a good amount of time to draft his message. He gave up all attempts at politeness, trying instead for something succinct. He read over the message once more, mouthing the words.

The dark presence is Lord Freke. Do not believe any reports from Serenno. Searching for more information on Korriban. Send someone to meet me here if you must, I will remain here for one week.

    Vorath
Good enough he thought. He sent the message to the council, wondering how they would react to hearing from him. Probably not well. With that, he felt it was time to move. Vorath went to find Quin once more, deciding that he had every right to join him on the planet below

    Rena Vanesk
The Va'nar, In High Orbit, Serenno

Rena was resting, sitting quitely in the pilots seat, when her comlinked beeped. It was Master Garon.

["Carannia has been attacked."] Master Garon stated simply. ["Allegedly several Jedi led an assassination against the Dem family, then set off several explosive charges in the crowd that had gathered for one of Lord Freke's speeches."] Rena snorted softly. Only the ignorant would think that Jedi would one, set of explosives, and two, to do so within a crowd of people. If the Jedi wanted someone assassinated, they would certainly hire someone with more tact..or simply take care of such themselves, IF it was their way of doing things. But it was not. An obvious set up. Problem was, with an upset mob, any outsider would be seen as a threat at this time.

Master Garon paused for a few long minutes, before he continued. ["Neither I nor the Council knows of any Jedi in the area, and this seems too coincidental for me to believe. Now, how do you propose we react?"]

Rena sighed softly. ["This makes my plan obsolete. With an attack already happened on the planet, the people will me LESS than willing to listen to any outsiders. ESPECIALLY, if they believe the outsiders are Jedi."]

Rena concentrated, levitating a small pebble in front of her, to gently spin it in midair. ["It was most likely a force user, could have even been this Lord Freke himself, but if he represents himself as a member of the Dem family, they will believe no outsiders. As a matter of fact, they will most likely believe that we are here to finish the job, if they were to find out that we are Jedi. IF nothing else, our mere presence could insite a mob over to his side of thinking."] Rena frowned deeply, as she spun the pebble faster.

["I don't that this was a simple coincidence. If any Jedi is caught down there, they could be made to stand 'trial' for this outrage, and the Council would be of little help."] Rena paused for a moment, thinking. ["Captain Vanesk would be at risk being seen with us as well. Unless - when she is contacted, and Im sure she would be when she lands there by herself, that was simply hired by two contractors to show them an out of the way landing spot, some distance away from where the attacks had taken place."]

Rena smiled, as she gently landed the pebble down on her console. ["And in this case it would be true. If anyone tried to probe her, they would simply know she was telling the truth. And if anything else we plan to do Master Garon, we should speak on another channel, so that they could not gleem any information from the good Captain here. As far as she knows, we are here searching for an artifact. And that this Lord Freke might be the one to have it. But of course, it is up to you Master Garon."]

Rena leaned back in her seat, waiting for a response. Alone, moving through such an agitate crowd would be difficult enough. But now with the possibility of other force users working on unknown adjendas, would make this a very difficult mission.
