I think Sloane had a good vibe in the books, the imperialism but at the same time she seemed susceptible to Kanan's charms. She was a well fleshed out character in AND.

Well, it's mostly because of Aftermath that I'm so excited about the Levers of Power and it will be interesting to see how Jason Fry handles the character now written very well by two different authors.

But of course I'm almost as excited about the other stories. I did like Vidian a lot as well and seeing what Tarkin thinks of him should be fun.

Bottleneck and Levers of Power were solid, will read Mercy Mission tomorrow. No spoilers. Also this comp (Jason Fry in particular) reaffirmed Sloane as the best character of the new canon thus far

I hear its out now. Any good info from The Levers of Power (considering it relates to the Battle of Endor).

All three short stories are great, especially The Levers of Power. Sloane is a badass of the highest proportion.

Why not just buy it? Amazon doesn't charge you until it's shipped anyway and if you order now and the price drops before release then you get the lowest price automatically even if it raises again before release. I bought the Force Friday YA books a few months early and a few weeks later the price dropped a couple dollars each and then went back up before the release date and I was only charged the lowest price. I ended up saving about $9 and got Lost Stars, Moving Target, Smuggler's Run, and The Weapon of a Jedi for $29.

I already have AND and didn't like Tarkin, so I'm gonna pass on this and read about the stories online

It shouldn't have arrived at anyone's bookstore yet. It will be released on the 6th.

All I will say is that it's the best, but heartbreaking.

That's the thing about Endor. It's the great battle of the GCW but it ends in tragedy.

Okay since people haven't been exactly discussing things:

Sloane orders the retreat at Endor, sort of a culmination of her teachings under Tarkin and Vidian. "See everything, forget the old way."
