She played a Rebellion Leader wearing an outlandish costume with a 'mushroom' on her head? I would not describe any of the Rebel's military costumes as outlandish, in fact quite the opposite. Could she be playing a non-military leader in that case? A Senator or other political type?

 

it is in most good films not just Lucasfilms, I mean when you have all those great films from the 40's 50's 60's and star wars and all the great Spielberg Films how can a film maker today not put an Homage in his film to honor the greats? one of my favorite Homage Films was Super 8 which was an homage to Spielberg !!!!!! and Giacchino is one big Homage to John Williams all his work! I loved his Tomorrowland and JW from this past year and in the past his Super 8 and John Carter were superb, and His Medal Of Honor was just like Saving Private Ryan, If Williams can't do the rest of the ST then they should get Giacchino !!!!!!

 

There's a difference between homaging and recycling, but let's not get into that in this thread. Just wanted to bring up where I'm coming from.

 

everything from the OT look to the Searchers scene in AOTC is an homage IMHO, I don't see the difference. what you call recycling I call an homage, Tomata, tomato what is the difference? it is getting really close to the Super Bowl, does anyone have an official list of Super Bowl commercials and Trailers, you never know?

I can't see the pic but is it the guards on the Tantive IV? If so then were they really 'Rebellion Leaders'? Besides that the rest of the uniform isn't really outlandish.

It's a supermodel playing an extra. I don't think we have to take her description of her character as a "Rebellion leader" too literally. She may simply be a Rebel officer with some rank. Colonel or Captain, or whatever.

100%. It's no different to unused ideas from Raiders ending up in TOD or bands writing songs that they don't finish but end up on later albums. The fact is that people want to use this as a stick to beat JJ with to meet their agenda.

she never said it was an outlandish costume, to be honest reading her interview she did, she sounded very humbled by the whole thing and excited to be a part of it all!

Is it just me or does that rather sound like a First Order troop carrier from TFA that makes ist "debut" in Rogue One?
