Star Wars RPG??

How many people would be willing to roll up characters for some Star Wars RPG sessions? I have a guy that would love to run some and he did mention that he would be will to join us in the group if we had enough people. Anyone game, I know I am.

 

i haven't ever played a game like that before so i dont really know alot about how it works or anything but i would be willing to give it a try... its going to be hard to compair to galaxies though =)

 

Hehe....I hear ya there. Well the newest version of the game is based on D&D 3rd Edition. So if you are a D&D fan...you'll feel right at home.

 

well.. ive haven't ever played D&D nor do i really know how it is played for that matter.. but if you have someone that is willing to show us..or if you know how yourself then ill give it a try

 

What time frame would we want? Prequel era, Original Trilogy, post trilogy including NJO. What day would we want to play also?

 

i would have to vote NJO but i will do whatever you guys all want to

Ok. The guy who would run the game is going to pick up the newest copy of the core rules (he has version 1 but wants the new one anyways). He is also going to pick up the sourcebook for the time frame we are going to play. He will be willing to run NJO but he doesn't know much about it. He hasn't read the books. Are we sure about NJO for the time frame? Also, we would need to set a time and place to roll up characters. So if everyone still wants to hook it up, post here.

We need to determine a time and place to meet for our initial character setup. Any ideas for a good place to meet? I was thinking we could meet at Books A Million one evening if that is cool with everyone, around 6 or 7. What would be a good day for everyone?

The GM and I will bring dice to roll up our characters.

Also, are we in agreement that we will play in NJO time frame?

So, I have a solution: We roll up characters.

Also, why not just let the GM pick the era he or she is most comfortable running? That would make the game flow better which would result in more fun and an overall more spontaneous feel, since he wouldn't need to consult a sourcebook as often. Just my two cents.

 

I had a GM in mind. I'll have to talk to him and see if he is still willing to hook us up.
