CT Star Wars SE to become technically dated?

    I'm watching 3D films on a 7' wide projection screen and the answer would have to be "Yes". When I watched the planet in Prometheus show up in 3D the suspension of disbelief was instantly gone.

    In contrast in Avatar (James Cameron the only filmmaker who understands 3D?) and on an IMAX screen, the (correct) presentation of Pandora in 2D did overwhelm me. It filled the screen, was beyond my stereoscopic range and conveyed to me that this must be a really big celestial object - because it wasn't 3D.

    All the techno-talk is fine but as Knoll said the real bottom-line is real world performance.

    Their are going to be "problems" regardless of any version because they are not going to be modern.
