Talking to your kids about Star Wars

Even though we won't have our foster kids forever, I started Maelyn watching Ep 4...they way the saga was meant to be watched! And early. She's not 3 yet, but she knows that Chewbacca is kinda a monkey, Darth Vader has breathing problems and that it was a Dionaga that got Luke in the trash compactor. Now if I can just make sure that she believes...nay, knows...that Han shot first, I'll be happy.

I was thinking about getting some friends with kids the OT for Christmas. I think I've just been convinced. The elder child will be 3 soon, and I taught her to say "defenestration," so I think she's ready.
