Forgive my ignorance if this has been talked about recently, but I was MIA for a while. I also came back with a new name and icon for a change. My question is: Does anyone have any info on when we might see the Star Wars television series? I am going crazy for some new Star Wars action on screen(big or small screen)! I hear a lot about the possible timeline era and plotline speculation, but no word as to when we might be seeing it. If anyone has any info, please respond, or direct me to where there may be some if I missed it. Thanx and I'm glad to be back!!![:D]

The 3-D Clone Wars series is expected to debut in 2007, while the live-action series is set to debut in 2008. :)

try playing the old Rebel Assault games on the PC - the storyline in those are pretty gripping - my favourite being Rebel Assault II, with the Empire developing cloaked Tie-fighters, and you are responsible for destroying the technology.

Dude I friggin' loved that game. The guy that trains you to fly a tie fighter reminded me of Kevin Spacey.

I always felt that the Rebel Assault games were overlooked in terms of being a fun and enjoyable game. They were made at the height of the FMV craze that was around in the 90s, but was one of the few games to apply the technology appropriately, and give you a game which actually made you think you were there.

The cut sequences were pretty good, and it did run together well as a game because the cut sequence had the same quality of video as the actual game. Some were to hide load times between levels/areas, and others were to develop plot.

Oh man, Flashbacks! That was the first PC game my parents bought me! The level where you had to fly the Falcon into the innards of the Death Star nearly drove me mad.

It was flying the Falcon through the mine caves that got me !

Oh, now you mention it, it might've been mine caves. I'm not sure. It was definitely flying the Falcon through something impossible.

according to this link http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/star-wars-rebel-assault-ii-the-hidden-empire/screenshots/gameShotId,3373/ it might have been mining caves

iirc the trick with this game was to use joystick for some levels, and the mouse for others - otherwise the game was way too hard.

    edit

the flying levels were harder than the running / shooting levels. Something to do with the stormtroopers being as useless as they are in the movies.

Err... at this point I'd like to stress my memory sucks, and it was a long time ago. :p

However, it was definitely something, flying through something else. [face_laugh]

I had Rebel Assault 2 for the Playstation. If my memory serves right, I think I accidentely stepped on the disc and broke it.

Anyways I would like to see Quinlan Vos and maybe Qu Rahn from the Jedi Knight series although I doubt Lucas would use a character from something like that.
