    OOC: Hey there players. :)

NOTE: We’ve just reached 1,000 posts! [face_party] Therefore, it’s a good time to make a minor tweak to the game and address some issues.

    1. You’ve helped this mission evolve into something far more expansive than was originally planned, so points need to be attainable for your personal scores to grow.
    - Hence, Extra Puzzles have been added to accomplish this. As you can see in the accompanying chart, Puzzles Solved now adds points to your personal scores.
    - BigAl6ft6 has been awarded 1 point for finding the solution to Puzzle #7. =D=
    - These extra puzzles should allow active players to pull ahead of the pack as deserved. Since the only STANDARD point left is the 1 you receive upon completion, look to solve puzzles in order to boost your individual RANKS and SCORE.

    Points Awarded-
STANDARD Points: 14 out of an available 15
Standard points were awarded to individual players during the game. The final point goes to the individual who escapes the outpost.
    Puzzles Solved
    1. Deactivated ray shield
    2. Pushed crate revealing square hole
    3. Discovered metallic ramp
    4. Used saber for light
    5. Deactivated laser gates
    6. Destroyed furnace
    7. Unlocked vault door (Puzzles Solved now adds points to your personal score ONLY)

    3. The game is always a work in progress. ‘Out of character’ suggestions and comments are always welcome. :D

IDEA: I’d like to write a fan fiction based upon our adventure. The current draft is not humorous like the game, and includes my posts ONLY.
If you’d like your ideas and decisions from gameplay included in the story, let me know.
If not, your 'commands' from the game shall be omitted.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Please limit your thread posts to gameplay and game talk only. Any discussion about the fanfic project should take place by PM.

    Thanks for playing! [face_peace]

The Durosian scientist approaches your vicinity as you get up. Dusting yourself off (even though there's no dust), you proclaim "Curses! My evil plans... foiled again!" Arfour rolls up to your side. "R4... let's go! Use your robotic speed and follow me to sweet freedom!"

You notice that the High Admiral has once again entered the lab. He stands behind the female Duros with his blaster aimed at your head.

As you make an obvious break for the vault door, the Durosian faces north, her trench coat still billowing in the breeze. Arfour trundles along, following you slowly. Once you reach the center of the lab, you're tossed by the force again. The combination of the fierce wind and force-push dumps you into the northwest corner of the research lab. Taking no damage, you realize that you're a few feet away from the damaged metallic ladder.

You quickly compose yourself while hearing Arfour scream. Jumping to your feet, you turn around to witness three blaster bolts whiz by R4's dome.

"Get to the vault." After addressing her imperial partner, the Duros walks to the center of the room. She climbs upon one of the white plasteel counter tops. "I'll deal with the Mirialan."

Heading for the vault, the High Admiral takes another shot at Arfour. His red blaster bolt misses, and Arfour pulls up to your side once again.

    >tell R4 to get the door closed
    >yell "no hard feelings" to the imps
    >destroy door opening mechanism

You consider telling Arfour to get the door closed. However, you never made it into the vault, so you scrap that idea. Besides, the High Admiral is already there. He takes another shot at R4 before entering the gigantic room.

“No hard feelings!” you yell to the imps. The Durosian cocks an eyebrow, as your phrase is wildly out of place. She jumps onto the counter top nearest to you. The red blaster bolt skims Arfour’s dome, and he lets out a chirp.

Destroying the mechanism that opens the vault is not possible at this time. You’re still in the research lab. Besides, the door remains open. A steady wind causes the scientist’s trench coat to billow once again. She prepares herself for conflict.

Suddenly, sparks begin to fall from above. Without taking your eyes off of the Duros, you can sense that more imperials are attempting to enter the lab from the ceiling’s hatch. (+1 Insight)
    INSIGHT = 8
    Average = Zero

Arfour warbles loudly due to the bleakness of the situation.

“Am I in some sort of dream sequence within a dream?” you wonder, trying to ascertain your true motives. You speak the question loudly, but it is to no avail. The Durosian scientist gives you another odd look, and you gauge her reaction. You deduce that you’ve stumbled onto nothing.

“Enough,” she says. “There’s a holding cell waiting for you, Mirialan.” The Duros speaks the name of your species with an acid tongue.

“Where is my precious apprentice Zan?” you ask unexpectedly. Sparks continue to fall as the imps cut through the durasteel.

“Apprentice?” she questions, surprised. “You mean that contemptible Zabrak?” The Durosian smirks. “He’s getting special treatment.” Arfour whistles his concern.

The vault door slowly begins to close again.

Besides Arfour, the Durosian scientist is the only one here, so you focus your dark side power on her.

Even though the Duros appears ready to defend, you unleash the dark side equivalent of a Jedi mind trick. Your attempt at force-fear fails to penetrate the deepest part of her mind, but the Durosian seems affected nonetheless.

As sparks continue to fall from the high ceiling, she becomes visibly uncomfortable. You feel her attempt at a force-push, but her shaking blue-skinned hands make the feat ineffectual. Uneasy, the Duros loses balance and falls off the counter top. However, she lands gracefully upon the immaculate floor in a defensive position.

You can sense that the wind is about to pick up again. (+1 Influence, New Skill: +1 Perception)

    {New Force Ability: Horror – Targets multiple enemies with force-fear. When used on a single opponent, it’s more severe and more difficult to defend than fear.}

    >2
You cannot force-grab the High Admiral’s blaster because he has left the research lab. Nevertheless, you can sense his presence within the nearby vault. The gigantic door is half-closed now, and chatter can be heard from above. They’re breaking through. R4 rolls around and whistles while trying to avoid the sparks. The strength of the canyon gale intensifies.

    >3
Though force-fear is affecting the Durosian’s capabilities, she still has the ability to easily dodge your all-or-nothing swing. Her billowing trench coat is singed by your emerald blade. Both of you shield your faces from the sparks flying by. This western wind is fierce.

    >4
Now the female Duros starts to negate the effects of your mind trickery. Using the Force herself, she pushes the fear to the forefront of her psyche and then releases it.

Suddenly, a wild pack of mynocks fly between you and your opponent. You back up to the northern wall in order to avoid getting thrashed by one of the creatures. Arfour observes you in bafflement.

The sparks cease to fall and a large circular durasteel hatch crashes to the clean floor. A rope falls from above immediately, hanging over the edge of a hole in the ceiling. “Aw. And I thought there were sparks between us,” you dryly announce to the Durosian. :) (Bondian pun made: New Skill: +1 Wit, making a pun about the wind is beneath you)

    >5
“Arfour! Engage your jets!” you yell to the droid as he watches the imps enter the lab from above. Again, the mynocks flap around between you and the scientist. She employs a force-push and you crash against the north wall. (Hit Points: 1 / 5, WARNING! One more point of damage will render you unconscious.)

You noticed that the mynocks vanished when you flew to the wall. ‘That crafty Durosian!’ you think to yourself. She’s using a mysterious force ability to project apparitions of mynocks. The powerful illusion worked well. It caused you to back up, which gave the Duros ample time to recover from fear. (-1 Recognition)

Protruding out of his legs, R4’s rocket boosters activate. Six stormtroopers slide down the rope as Arfour flies over to you. The Durosian backs up until she’s adjacent to the vault door, which is now closed.

-You must provide specific commands in order to Junior Birdman the heck out of there. Do you want to exit the lab, or do you want Arfour to leave? How? Do you climb onto R4, or do you make a break for one of the exits?

    >6
You embrace chaos. How would you like to use the elements? (-5 Alignment) You fall to the floor as the dark side continues to consume your soul. Arfour beeps his concern, for he’s seen this happen to you before.

Three of the troopers have reached the floor. They scope out the lab, noticing you, Arfour, and the Durosian.

Your tattered imperial officer uniform is damaged beyond repair. Attempting to balance yourself, you get up and remove the imp’s clothing. With your full Jedi attire now revealed, you stumble again. Slumped over a counter top, you sense one stormie approaching. (Imperial officer uniform, tattered: Dropped)

The vault door is shut. Therefore, you do not attempt a stylish somersault. Besides, you’re slumped over a white plasteel counter top. The conflict between the light and dark sides of the Force is wreaking havoc upon your soul. Your legs begin to shake. Arfour deactivates his rocket boosters and lands. He rolls up to you, quite concerned about your well-being. (-1 Agility, -1 Dexterity, -1 Stamina, -1 Endurance, -1 Strength)

You muster up enough strength to turn and face the north wall, but you don’t see a camera. Nevertheless, you wink and speak succinctly. “I feel the conflict within me.” Both the Durosian and nearby stormtrooper are surprised to hear you talking to a wall.

The female Duros pounds on the gigantic door. “Admiral! It’s me. The Jedi is out of commission.” Meanwhile, the stormie pokes at your slumping form with the nozzle of his E-11. Two more troopers follow behind him. The other three reach the bottom of the rope. You sense that one of them is a sergeant. (+1 Insight) Arfour beeps loudly while bumping into the stormtrooper. The little droid is obviously trying to protect you.

    Suddenly, the wind slows.

Although your mind is clouded at the moment, you still make a mental note to stop harming yourself.

The stormtrooper hovering over your limp form decides to kick Arfour out of the way. However, the droid doesn’t budge, which makes the imp look quite pathetic. R4 continues to bump the weak stormie.

It doesn’t take long for the sergeant to reach the vault door with his two companion troopers. Once there, they guard the female Durosian scientist. She must be someone of some importance.

Meanwhile, two more stormtroopers approach you.

    >2
You only have ONE adhesive grenade. Unexpectedly, you activate the explosive and hurl it at the pitiful trooper’s helmeted face. Unfortunately, he’s right on top of you. (New Skill: -1 Guile)

The brunt of the explosion covers the stormie’s white plasteel helmet with an incredibly sticky substance. This light blue glop anchors your target to the northern durasteel wall by his head. Now attached to the hard metallic surface, he flails and drops his E-11. To your dismay, you and Arfour are trapped as well. The droid is stuck to the immaculate floor, while you struggle to break free of the counter top.

You can hear the female Duros continue to bang on the vault. “Admiral, the Jedi is out of commission and neutralized.” The gigantic door starts to open once again.

    >3
Now that the imperials are distracted, you reach over and place your saber hilt in Arfour’s specialized dome compartment. The droid beeps his approval. (+1 Guile)

The wind begins to pick up again.

    >4
You do not have any edible items… and I don’t suggest eating the light blue glop. :D

The pair of stormies head over to the wall to offer their fellow trooper assistance. Then, the sergeant orders the other two to search you. He remains at the vault’s entrance, guarding it. The Duros has entered the vault.

    >5
It’s difficult to achieve meditation, but you manage to enter a relaxed state. (New Skill: +1 Concentration) You have a moment before the lazy imps reach your position.

Although the gigantic vault door is now open, force-speeding through its threshold is not possible. You are currently stuck to a plasteel countertop, courtesy of a powerfully adhesive light blue glop.

Attached to the floor next to you, Arfour spins his grooved wheels frantically, but he’s unable to escape the sticky substance.

The Durosian scientist is no longer visible. She’s joined the High Admiral within the vault.

Two stormtroopers pull at their comrade, but he does not budge. He’s still stuck to the northern wall by his head. The goop shows no sign of loosening. The dim pair of imps place their E-11 blasters upon the floor, next to the already dropped rifle. They tug at the flailing trooper again, this time using the strength of two arms each. The scene is quite comedic. There are now three E-11 blaster rifles on the floor.

The sergeant guards the vault entrance while the remaining two stormies reach your position with intentions to search you.

    Suddenly, the wind picks up.

Again, you are stuck against a white plasteel countertop in the northwest corner of the research lab. The sticky adhesive holds you there in a slumped over position.

R4 ignites his rocket boosters in an attempt to free himself from the bluish gel. Slowly, the substance begins to dissolve.

The four active stormies take notice and walk over to the ambitious droid. Meanwhile, the fifth stormtrooper is left to hang upon the durasteel wall. Looks like Arfour has bought you some time.

Bored, the sergeant ignores R4’s efforts at an escape.

Bright flashes of light can be seen within the large vault.

The High Admiral is in the vault with the female Duros scientist. You must be in his presence to attempt a high five.

Arfour is now surrounded by the four imps. They plan to deactivate him. Nevertheless, the thrust from his rockets continues to dissolve the blue goop.

    “Arfour,” you announce, “come hither!”

The droid hears your command and beeps out of frustration. He’s still stuck.

Your announcement startles the sergeant and he starts to approach you, which leaves the vault unguarded.

One of the stormtroopers begins to search for Arfour’s deactivation switch. He looks around the perimeter of the dome.

The four stormtroopers surrounding Arfour would hear your command, so you decide to give the droid a nod of implication. Hoping R4 understands your ‘skiff style’ gesture, you concentrate on the lightsaber hilt.

Arfour notices your simple nod and launches your metallic hilt towards the lab’s high ceiling. The sergeant and four troopers watch the cylindrical device arc through the air. As the hilt descends, its trajectory shifts.

Using the Force to guide the hilt, you focus on your free hand. Sure enough, the saber finds your palm. You grip the device and apply pressure to its activation stud, igniting the emerald blade. (+3 Accuracy)

There is NO weather vane here. However, you close your eyes and concentrate on the mental image of Zan Sey.

A vivid vision comes to you. The brown-skinned Zabrak is searching for you in the hangar bay. Oddly, his cranial horn is no longer severed. Donning his signature pale blue jumpsuit, he hides beneath a TIE fighter, waiting to approach Sulon’s inactive Jedi starfighter. Zan is wielding his lost vibroblade. You’re unsure if this is a vision of the present.

You start to hum a powerful theme. Truly missing Zan’s unwavering loyalty, you mentally call out to your ex-friend. “Zan.” You pause, eyelids fluttering. “Hear me.” After a minute, you cease your magnificent humming.

With the blaster in one hand and your green-bladed saber in the other, you approve of how badass your appearance has become. (+1 Style) Hand actions will be performed by your non-lightsaber hand.

You can feel the High Admiral tense up. Dodging, you witness two blaster bolts whiz by your head. They scorch the west wall. (+2 Perception, +1 Dodge) The limited light provided by the bolts revealed a metallic counter top to your right. Turning, you illuminate the area with emerald bladeshine. The High Admiral must be cowering behind the counter. Beyond, you see seven crates blocking the way to a scramble of twisting stairs leading upwards.

The female Durosian is still undetectable. A low whirring of gears starts to sound from up the stairs.

    >4
There is NO weather vane here. However, you close your eyes and concentrate on the mental image of Arfour.

Another vision comes to you. R4 circles around an imperial sergeant in an immaculate room. It’s the research lab. Seemingly, the droid managed to defeat the four stormtroopers by himself. They’re slumped over a white plasteel counter top without their weapons. Just outside the vault’s door, Arfour taunts the sergeant by circling him and administering the occasional electric charge. The imp no longer has a blaster.

You start to hum a powerful theme… again. Inspired, you mentally call out to the droid. “Arfour.” You pause, eyelids fluttering. “Hear me.” After a minute, you cease your magnificent humming.

Through the Force, you feel the High Admiral’s anxiety intensify. He probably believes you’re insane for humming some unknown masterpiece at such a crucial moment.

    >5
Pressing your back against the nearby counter for cover, you slide to the floor in a defensive crouching position. You and the High Admiral are now hiding on opposite sides of the counter. “Hey… High Admiral!” you awkwardly call out. You cannot wink at the Duros, for she is not present.

There is no response, so you continue. “Tell me about my back story. Tell me everything!” You still feel the ebb and flow of the imp’s anxiousness.

“I… I’m not revealing secrets to… to a Jedi Knight with… partial amnesia!” he struggles to exclaim. “You’re that troublesome Mirialan prisoner.” He speaks the term ‘Mirialan’ with much contempt. “Stop meddling in our affairs!”

You stroke your light brown beard, baffled by the imp’s behavior.

“Loathsome Jedi… go back to Ossus!”

The low mechanical whir gets louder and illumination banks begin to brighten throughout the large vault.

You hear a third voice from above. “Not good enough… High Admiral. You will feel my wrath.” You recognize the distinct voice. It’s the female Durosian scientist.

The lights are now at full power.

    Secret Vault (Durosian’s Laboratory)
You are crouched next to a metallic counter that runs north-south. Although you can’t see him, the High Admiral hides on the other side.

Obviously, this was once an imperial vault carved into the mountain. It’s quite expansive. You entered from the southeast, where blast doors now block the passage.

Eastward, there are seven grey crates stacked high. They block a curved staircase leading up to a lofty durasteel platform. The High Admiral must be guarding the stairs.

You can hear Arfour thumping against the vault’s door within the blocked passage.

The staircase appears to wind through a large mechanical contraption with electrical capabilities. Perched atop the lofty platform is a female Duros. She glowers in the direction of the High Admiral.

Standing between two glass spheres, the Durosian scientist turns a crank. Electrical currents of violet run through the magnificent orbs. Each transparent container has an access port for entry.

The illumination banks dim, and then brighten again.

    >6
You manage to fix your hair, but you’re still a complete mess. You’ll need a mirror to groom yourself further.

Tendrils of purple energy reach out to the scientist as she places her hand against the northern orb.

The High Admiral runs from his hiding spot towards the blast doors. “She’s insane!” he yells, dropping his weapon.

You’re quite perplexed. ‘What the heck?’ you think to yourself.

    >7
“Where are you, Jedi?” the scientist asks in a sinister tone. She removes her tattered trench coat to reveal light armor.

You grab your bacta canister and apply the last two applications. ( Hit Points: 3 / 5)

The High Admiral has forgotten about you. He claws at the impenetrable blast doors before attempting to hotwire the controls.

You now have a pair of empty bacta canisters.

    >8
The High Admiral gives up. There’s no way out. He knows what’s coming and slumps to the floor. “We have the Jedi!” he screams.

You have no food to consume. You have nothing to drink. You’re extremely hungry. You’re thirsty beyond imagination.

“Like I said,” the female Durosian scientist proclaims, “not good enough.”

You’re not exactly sure what transpires next.

Periwinkle bolts of lightning seem to launch outward from the Durosian’s fingertips. You cringe at the crackling and shield your face from the intensity. Both bolts strike the High Admiral. His attire begins to smoke immediately. Motioning to the ceiling, the woman somehow levitates the imperial. Still being bombarded by the energy bolts, the High Admiral rises halfway up the wall. Then, the Duros motions to the east. The imperial is tossed to the southeast corner of the cavernous room. Then, the scientist ceases to generate lightning.

You stay put. She can’t see you behind the counter from her lofty position.

    >9
Arfour continues to whack at the vault door.

Relaxed, composed, and with saber still ignited, you drop into a meditative state.

The Durosian scans her laboratory. “Time to show yourself, Jedi.” She manipulates a nearby lever. “Where are you hiding that wretched Zabrak?”

    > chose Replenish Potion
    > fire at female Durrosian, yell "I'll never join you! I want the galaxy for myself, you jerk!"
    > deflect lightning bolts she fires at you with lightsaber
    > open blast doors for Arfour, command him to attack the Dursoian
    > check on High Admiral who was thrown to Southeast Corner
    > loot High Admiral for items
    > tell him to think of a happy place because he's probably going to expire real soon and if wants to reveal a Grand Plan or whatever, now would be a real good time.
    > join Arfour in his all out assault on the Durosian, use lightsaber on orbs

With your non-lightsaber hand, you pull the firing stud of the E-11 blaster rifle. You had to sacrifice your cover in order to get a clean shot. Now standing, you yell at the female Durosian ‘scientist’. “I’ll never join you!” Your emerald blade gives away your exact location within the vault. “I want the galaxy for myself, you jerk!” (+1 Style)

The blaster shot hits her left forearm. However, her unique armor absorbs the blast. Tendrils of violet electricity still jump to her body from the two transparent orbs. She fires a pair of lightning bolts at you from her blue-skinned hands. “Bold of you, Jedi… but your actions are unwise.”

    >3
The width of your lightsaber blade allows you to block only one lightning bolt. Not sure where you learned the technique, you send the purple energy stream back towards your opponent. A magnificent display of sparking color is generated by the deflection. Unfortunately, the second bolt grazes your right leg, sending you to the floor immediately. Smoke rises from your robes as you slide to the southern wall. ( Hit Points: 2 / 5 )

Jumping to a lower platform, the Duros eludes your deflection. The crackling bolt nails the upper hemisphere of the glass orb on the right. It begins to crack. “You vile fool!” She’s obviously upset. Due to her movement, the woman’s connection with the tendrils has been broken.

    >4
You’re in no position to operate the blast doors. Besides, you have no idea where the controls are. “Arfour, attack the Durosian!” you command while crumpled up upon the floor. You writhe from the bolt’s sting.

Arfour continues to whack at the vault door.

    >5
The ‘scientist’ struggles to recalibrate her machinery. This gives you enough time to crawl over to the High Admiral. He’s still woozy from the bombardment, but he’s aware of your presence.

    >6
You loot the High Admiral. He doesn’t resist, for most of his items were dropped when he got blasted. A comlink is all you find. (Imperial comlink: Taken)

    >7
“Think of a happy place,” you tell the imp.

He appears confused and starts to ramble. “I assure you, Sulon will never get his starfighter off the base without the appropriate datacard.” The High Admiral doesn’t know where he is. “Once the bounty hunter acquires those crystals, we…” Suddenly, he recognizes you.

“Now’s a good time to reveal your Grand Plan,” you say.

He narrows his eyes. “Never, you despicable Jedi.” Then, he remembers the predicament you’re both faced with. “Where… where is she?”

    >8
You cannot reach Arfour. There is no assault.

The orbs are located at the top of the contraption. Seven grey crates block the curved staircase leading up to them.

Now hiding near the southeast corner, you and the High Admiral can no longer see the Durosian.
