Books A/V Star Wars: The Force Awakens—The Official Visual Story Guide

I wondered whether any of us had (already) acquired it or not. Apparently, it does mention some stuff that doesn't belong to the movie (like the Knockback Nectar and the Wheel Races of Jakku).

There's now an article about it on StarWars.com, with three preview pages. I set my eyes on one of those pages at random, and the first thing I see is that Takodana is located in the "Tashtar section." Yeah. Surely you meant the "Tashtor sector," eh, writer?

it says that Kylo Ren fouded the order after falling from the light.

This is new info to me, so apologies if it was known previously.

 

Now that you mention it, I think that's new to me too.

 

Alright, I've got my lightsaber in hand and I've been trying to make that pose on the cover.

IT MAKES NO SENSE. AT ALL.

I have to do some arm gymnastics to get it that way because there's no way to get to that from holding a lightsaber normally.

 

Sooo... apparently, Pablo Hidalgo didn't even know this thing existed, and it has not been vetted by the Story Group. The stuff about Kylo founding the Knights of Ren is nonsense.

I don't quite see the point of allowing the release of something labelled "official" and advertise it on StarWars.com if you're not even going to bother with it.

That's literally the point of slapping that big ass OFFICIAL label on the thing. It's supposed to have OFFICIAL info in it. The whole point, right there. You can't just sell people OFFICIAL things and then just shrug it off later.
I'm just...I mean, not even surprised. Honestly. Not a bit.

 

Really? Did Pablo post that on Twitter? I'm suddenly glad I didn't add it to my Amazon order on Friday!
