Chainfire entered the atmosphere of Ziost, the ancient Sith capital. Ziost is a rocky, frozen, desolate world. Dragons are perched on craggy cliffs that overhang icy oceans. Crumbling fortresses dot the shores.

The raptor-esque craft glided to the largest of the citadels. The skies were elegiac and a sullen shade of blue. Flurries blurred about. Evil could be felt tangibly on this stronghold of the dark side.

"We will act quickly, my apprentices. Our brothers and sisters will either swear fealty to me or fall before our blades. The very survival of the Sith depends on us."

Rahl shot a hot glare at the main fortress. "Kaid would have the Sith grew weak and complacent."

Rahl placed an arm around the Twi'lek's shoulders. "Arden, I have a special mission for you. Bring me Darth Kaid's head."

Sable eyes got dark and wide with fear, at Rahl, she thought to herself what kind of monster was this man. Could she keep her family secret? She knew she had surrender to Rahl, but did that mean just her mind or her body as well. She looks at him again this time he had a mischievous look on his face.

She thought, Oh, no, I don?t think so, and crossed her arm?s and she took on a dark piercing stare with her blue eyes, feeling with anger building up inside her once more, but this time was different she felt, a electricity going thought her body a power she had not felt before.

Sable said in a harsh voice, " What about me, My Lord."

IC - Emma Gorchuk

Emma was alarmed by the guards presence and even more so by their taking her into custody. She hadn't done anything, so she shouldn't stress. With the grace and professionalism she had perfected over the years, she walked off with the officers as if they were simply escorting her to a speeder.

"May I ask why I am being questioned?"

Ignorance was the card she had decided would work best in the situation.

Rahl gazed into those earnest eyes of Darth Sable. So much raw power. He would have to be careful with this one. He could detect her propensity for wearing her heart on her sleeve.

"You have yet to prove your faithfulness. I am sending you on a very dangerous but important mission deep into enemy territory. The Jedi Order does not yet know of your allegiance to me."

Rahl's smile revealed perfect, pearly-white teeth. "You are going to bomb the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. My demolitions experts will provide you with the proper knowledge and equipment."

Rahl folded his hands before his saint-like white robes. "With this stunging blow, you will have gained my trust. But only then, dear one."

Biography: Aparic was not born on his species homeworld of Uba IV. He was a native to the city Nar Shaddaa which why he is one a very few Ubese who can survive the atmosphere?s of the other planets other then just his homeworld. Aparic bears the markings of his clan even though he has yet to return to Uba IV, he would however be only met with disrespect and hatred.

For many years Aparic worked under the local Hutt as a mercenarie, it was until Aparic grew tired of the Hutt?s cruelty and vile ways he began working secretly behind the Hutt?s back. Aparic gathered others who felt the same way and disbanded to form his own crime syndicate. His group have become well known throughout this region of space, some fear and others respect them. Aparic is not known for being ruthless but at times could be as unforgiving as anyone. He carries a single bladed Cortosis Vibro-sword that he stole from the hutt he once served as a trophy but also a weapon. He also will never walks the streets without one or more of his most loyal body guards.

Sable was pondering this Jedi Temple the place she was born.
Looking at him in his white robes and she started to smirk a little bit then dropped and made straight face at him.

Sable spoke softly, ?I have a couple of question first, one being do I get I go alone. Second do I get my light saber and robe back? I don?t like being exposed like this its mum?; she had to think fast her eyes darting everywhere but his, Th the Jedi way around the temple.?

"By all means, Trysyn. I will allow you to select your own team for this mission. Once Kaid is killed, anyone who opposes us will be left leaderless."

Rahl turned to Darth Sable. He extended the lightsaber for her to take.

"I think I know the man for the job. A crime lord. Scum, to be sure, but he and his men are better trained for these types of attacks. His name's Aparic the Devious."

Rahl gave her his most charming smile. "Oh, and we can't have you going to the Jedi Temple that scandalously dressed."

Rahl ordered a Togorian deck officer wearing bandoliers and weapons of all sorts to connect him to Aparic's main ship via the bridge holoprojector.

"Honorable Aparic, I Bazlind Rahl, Dark Lord of the Sith, come before you with a handsome proposition. I am sure I could hire your syndicate to carry out an operation of this sensitivity."

Rahl waited for the hailed to answer.

Opera Theatre (outside), Coruscant

The soldier slowly released the senator and paused for a second. Emma could see he was thinking. In reality, he didn't know why. He was just told by his commanding officer that she was wanted for questioning. "Umm..." The soldier turned around to look at the other two companions. They shrugged aswell. Just as the soldier turned around to speak, one of Emma's guards took control.

"She does not need to go into questioning," The guard said, waving his hand slowly in front of the soldier. "She does not need to go into questioning, right." The officer said, repeating the guard's words. "Now leave us." The guard said as he waved his hand again. "Yes, we'll leave you." The officer repeated. Confused, he shook his head and turned to leave. Not knowing what just happened, the soldiers just left back to their base.

"Come on senator Gorchuk. Let's get you back to your dwelling." Her guard said. With that, they bowed to her and motioned for her to get into her speeder.

Sometimes it was good for your guards to be Sith.

IC - Emma Gorchuk

"Thank you." She said to the police, but her guards knew it was directed at them. Emma smiled inwardly, wondering what it was she was supposed to be questioned about. Oh well, she thought, it didn't matter now. She glanced around to be sure that no watchful eyes had seen the interaction between her guards and the police, then climbed into her speeder. Her guards climbed in after her and the speeder set off towards her home.

She hoped there would be no more problems with the authorities tonight, that was the last thing she needed. Not that it would matter if there were. She glanced at her guards. The idea of being guarded by Sith had been a bit unsettling at first, but she had gotten used to it and felt safer than ever.

Gorchuk Residence, Senate Building, Coruscant

Senator Gorchuk found the rest of the night to go smoothly. No more troubles with the authorities, and she was in the clear, for now. She slept through the night peacefully- as peaceful as someone as corrupt as her could get. She didn't care. No guilt, no shame. She did what was necessary to get to the top. The strong will rise as the weak perish, is what she was always told, by her... mentors.

The next morning, she awoke with a few stretches and yawns. She shook it off, but was soon disturbed. A rang at the door. She had her protocol droid answer. The droid answered the door, and conversed for a couple of minutes. After that, the droid came back to the senator.

"Oh my. Senator, I have some very sad news. Chancellor Lenzo has been... assassinated. He was found dead in his quarters at dawn, by his remote droids. But now, the Jedi Council will like to meet with all available senators in the chancellor's former private office, immediately." The droid said.

Treydon awoke from his deep meditation, as he finally arrived into Coruscant space. The ship jumped out of hyperspace, and began to descend into Coruscant's atmosphere. He relaxed. He had gotten good sleep and a relaxing meditation. Except for one thing of course- he had sensed a great disturbance in the force within his dreams. He didn't know where it came from or what exactly happened, he only felt something happened.

After his ship exited the atmosphere, his ship's autopilot led him into the hangar of the Jedi Temple. He landed, and jumped out of his ship. He made sure he had his belongings, and then began to walk away. He was stopped by one of his fellow Jedi masters. It was master Temy, the Corellian.

[b]"Trey. The masters have requested your presence as soon as you arrived. They need you at the Senate building, to head for Chancellor Lenzo's private office. The other council members are already waiting there,"[/b] He said, as he put his arm around Trey and walked him towards a transport. [color=green][b]"What's going on? Earlier I felt a dark disturbance. Any explanation to this?"[/b][/color] Trey asked impatiently. Master Temy boarded the transport along with Trey and bowed his head. [b]"Yes, unfortunately. Chancellor Lenzo... has been murdered."[/b] Trey looked away. The chancellor was a good man. He couldn't believe it. The only politician he ever trusted, dead. And all his plans gone to waste.

The transport left for the Senate building.

IC - Emma Gorchuk

Emma's look of shock was flawless. She knew, even in her own home her reactions were watched. She had seen people convicted on testimony by their droids. Droids do what their masters tell them and when their masters change, so do their loyalties. She'd seen many mistakes. She was not going to repeat them. "You can't be serious, why would someone do such a thing?" After allowing her protocol droid to explain that he was always serious and so on, not understanding the human expression, all the while wearing a look of disbelief, she stood up began to get ready for the meeting. She knew she had to look her best and she had to be prepared for anything.

Within half an hour, she was ready and she left her home with her guards. All the way there, she concentrated on hiding her true feelings. By the time she had arrived, she was devistated, inside and out.

Thank you My Lord with a smirk, taking and looking at the carvings then the ancient line of the woment Sol?s speaking to her and then she made sure it still worked, with a snip-hiss the yellow blade come to life. Then her pendant started glowing with a blue brightness, out of the corner of her eyes she could see his smiling at her.

Her mind was on looking over her weapon and warm she felt around her chest, she thought she caught a Crime Lord, was going with her to Jedi Temple help to destroy the temple.

Then she hear it Rahl say "Oh, and we can't have you going to the Jedi Temple that scandalously dressed."

She points the end of her saber at his face and stair at him with a dark cloud coming into her, Oh on not this time. And pushed back with her mind by reaching deep inside, and then thought Sables teeth she said, "You made me wear it in front of you and your man like I was your toy. Well, I?m not."

Her arm and legs muscles tighten up, she took a defense stands.

IC | Treydon Briz | Chancellor's (private) chambers, Senate building, Coruscant

The Jedi transport landed at the hangar bay. The two Jedi got out of the ship and headed for the elevator. They took it all the way up to where the Chancellor's office was. They went down the hall and entered the office. They were greeted by the other Jedi council members.

"Glad you could make it, Treydon. We have a mission for you, once the briefing begins you will know it. Have a seat." Master Elij said, as he directed Treydon to his seat. "Thank you, master." Trey said as took his seat next to the Jedi council members. The other Jedi masters, Temy, Viroon, and Ukpau, all took their seats next to Master Elij.

Soon after, a few other senators arrived, including Emma Gorchuk. She entered, and the Jedi could all sense her devastation at the Chancellor's death. Yet something wasn't right. They sensed the darkness clouding them. But times were dark now and days.

All the guards waited outside, like usual. The senators took their seats, and then the meeting began. Jedi master Elij once again stood up, and spoke.

"This morning at dawn, the Chancellor of the Republic was murdered. He was found in his residence, slain by poison dart to his neck." Elij said, as he looked around the room seeing the grief in everyone's face. "The Jedi will not allow for this to go on. We will send an investigation team of Jedi Knights to discover the truth, as the Republic holds it's own investigation." He said, as he once again looked around. "We will find the killer, and we will have justice." He said as his speech concluded.

He waited for any comments or questions, as Trey watched on. He knew he had been chosen to investigate the Chancellor's death. He was excited- he himself wanted to get the killer and cut him down with his lightsaber.

Emma bowed to the Jedi master to show her respect for his position before she began to speak. She struggled to keep her devistation from her voice as she voiced the concerns of all the senators at the meeting.

"Master Elij, while I, and I'm sure the other senators are with me, agree the need to find the killer is great, the government must continue to function. No doubt those responsible were looking to cause even more disruption among the senate than the rise in crime all over peaceful worlds has already caused. What do you suggest we as a senate do to help keep things moving during the search for those responsible for this crime against the republic."

She surveyed the room for approval, finding it, she concluded.

"In these unsteady times, the last thing the senate need to do is run around blindly, unsure of where it is going."

Nar Shaddaa

Among the dark and mysterious planet, below every level ? through the hundreds and thousands of alien scum scattered in the streets, one ubese glares into the alley of a darkened corner. Aparic looks into the vast city with a slight smirk on his face.

?My lord, we are receiving an incoming transmission ??

Aparic turned to face the voice and answered his old companion and most loyal friend.

?We?ve been working together for years now Zor, what would it take for you to start calling me Aparic??

Aparic walked into another room and took seat infront of a projector.

"Honorable Aparic, I Bazlind Rahl, Dark Lord of the Sith, come before you with a handsome proposition. I am sure I could hire your syndicate to carry out an operation of this sensitivity."

?Greetings Master sith, You humble me with your kindness. Although it is not in my custom to assist men of your status, tell me more of this operation and we will see ??

Aparic sunk into his chair and looked at his guards near the door and waved them to leave, of course they replied.

Rahl smiled warmly at the crime boss. "If you'll excuse me, Honorable Aparic."

Rahl thrust his arms out with a flood of the dark side. The lit lightsaber dropped in a rain of sparks as powerful Force lightning snaked up the woman's body with crackling ferocity.

The impact and the life-sapping anguish of it made the tyro Sith double-over.

Rahl bent over with his hands casually draped over his knees. His expression was ice.

"That was a mistake, dear one. But it can also be considered a precious gift. The next time you make a move like that, I will end your worthless life. You leave the wisdom of sending you on this mission in doubt."

Rahl rose and gave the holoprojector a deliberate look. "My apologies, Aparic. I am willing to offer 500,000 sovereigns in exchange for your help in a surprise attack on the Jedi Temple."

Rahl licked his lips. "I am not going to deceive you, a mission like this is dangerous. But I always deliver on my promises."

She felt the pain run though her. Oh my that did hurt no it was be on hurting was she still alive. She got up with her whole body shaking. Sable just looked at him with hateful eyes. She knew now not to do that again and that she would do and thing to please her Lord, maybe the Sith where stronger and Jedi was weak.
She tore her pendent off her neck and threw it across the room she didn?t want anything to do with it every again.
She spoke with a whisper, ?I?m sorry My Lord it will never happen again. Please let me make it up to you, what every you want be to do I?ll do it.? Then looked down to the floor not wanting to look at him.

Chancellor's (private) chambers, Senate building, Coruscant

The Jedi Masters then looked at each other. It seemed as if they were talking to each other through their minds. They each only glanced at one another for a few moments, with silence, and then turned to face Senator Gorchuk. Master Elij nodded.

"I agree. The Republic cannot have instability, especially not now. The senate will delegate later, and then vote on their best choice for temporary chancellor. This will be done today, as for it is absolutely necessary." Elij paused for a moment, looked down and then refocused his attention on everyone. "But do not alert the people of Lenzo's untimely death. Not yet. Is that understood everyone?" Master Elij said as his fellow Jedi agreed.

Rahl clutched his cloak close to ward off the biting cold onslaught of wind as he departed from Chainfire to the closest castle. A mobile holoprojector, Darth Sable, and an impressive cadre of guards followed.

Rahl addressed the woman as the crime lord mulled over the prospect of hitting such a significant target as the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Like whacking a beehive with a stick, such action would surely arouse action.

"Very good, Adda. I knew from the moment I met you that I could depend upon you."

Rahl covered her absurdly scant clothing with his fur mantle.

"Ziost can be. . . . inhospitable."

In his own sick and twisted way he cared about her. He cared about her enough to have the compassion to keep her warm from the elements.

"I want you to know, darling, that what I did to you on the bridge hurt me more than it hurt you. I know what's best for you. In that, you can place your faith and trust."

Bazlind favored her with a dry smile. "I will be sure to get you the finest quarters on the planet."

Emma listened intently to the Jedi Master, nodding agreeably when it was appropriate. When she was sure he was done speaking, she verbally agreed with what he had said.

"This is good. News of the chancellor's death would dampen the morale of the citizens of the republic. That is also something we need to avoid."

Once a time had been set for the senat meeting that would place a temporary chacellor in office, Emma walked from the office in the midst of her fellow senators. Her guards joined her outside. Once they got into her speeder, she informed them of the content of the meeting.

(Gorchuk's) Speeder, Coruscant

After her guards were told of the meeting, they smiled. Yet their smiles nor faces could ever be seen, since they always kept their helmets on to hide their identity for the protection of senator Gorchuk. The first guard spoke.

"Excellent. The Jedi will have no idea what transpired here. With Lenzo out of the way, all you have to do is win by vote of the people," The guard again smiled as he paused. "And I assure you, the people will vote for you. We have all worked to get you to the top, and covered up well... making you one of the more popular politicians. Surely, you will win the place of Chancellor." He finished saying as he laughed a bit.

The speeder continued en route to senator Gorchuk's residence.

Emma joined his laugh with a chuckle at the thought of herself as chancellor. It has always been a dream, but she had never thought she could make it up that high, but she knew she could now. With their help and support, she could do anything. The idea of such power made her happy.

After all, she told herself, politics was all about power.

She did feel warm under the fur mantle. Did someone since her mother?s death care for her again, would he kept her safe.
She look up at Rahl with her blue eyes and said in a tried voice, ?I just want to get into somewhere it, warm and get out of my burnt clothes and go to sleep.

Then she looks down at her feet for a little bit, then back up at Rahl, with a warming trusting smile, I believe you that you will take care of me and you did this for my own good.?

?By the way my name isn?t Adda any more; it?s Sable." then lay her head on his shoulder while they walk to the castle.
