I've been thinking a lot about this live TV series and what I really wish to see it cover.

We don't really have a full ground covering Canon origin of the Jedi story.

We know that they're were lots of Jedi's, and Someone from with in lusted for more power and control, and they became and started the movement of the Sith

We know that these two factions of force users fought for ages until most of the Sith where destroyed, mostly from within- till only two remained.

    But what made the Jedi?

They cant be made.. The movie talks of Midichlorians and tells us that it they are in all living things. Well what magnified it in some and not in others?

I'm gonna warp a few tales here, from Secrets Of The Nimh, LOTR, Splinter Of The Minds Eye, Dune, and Religions of several sources To spin a fan attempt..

What if a Widowed Woman- a Slaver Miner, found a green gemstone while mining spice. What if that stone gave her intimate knowledge of the force and increased her will to use and bend this force at her discretion.

What if she exposed her children and then the other slave miners to this stone and taught this Will to them.

They all become aware of the force and soon they lead a revolt against their alien offworld enslavers. They regained control of their world and restored it to peace.

This great and fortunate woman decided to send a group of her most prized, and trusted enlightened ones off on a Sojourn to expose only the most compassionate, kind, and unselfish of the Galaxy to this stones power, and their knowledge of the force with hopes that this would end oppression and tyranny through out the galaxy.

Word of this stone would spread quick.. Some would fear it, and see it as inherently evil. Others would lust for it, for all the wrong reasons...

But the common Good Will of many would protect it's carriers and help them establish a place to hold this stone in protection.

Soon only those who where most deserving of this power could come to have it. The stone itself would change colors around those with in it's presence (A shocking surprise the first time it occurs). If the stone became black it was known that, that being was unfit to know and have it's power and knowledge.

Thousands of civilizations would send hopeful fortunates to this temple to become force users, and peace enforcers.

Soon the Jedi would outnumber the Galaxies Tyrants and Oppressors.

The Jedi's numbers alone would Will the Galaxy towards peace, but a manipulative lustful Outsider would manipulate a young Female Force User to steal the stone.

Upon her attempt to do so the stone recognized her intentions and split itself in half turning one piece red and the other blue. She tried to take both pieces but the blue piece killed the flesh and muscle in her hand turning it black.

She tried to explain this to the Outsider. He became enraged and he killed her for her failure.

He would expose the stone to all of his followers and they would become the Sith-

A war of the Jedi to recapture this fragment of the stone would last for ages.

Soon the Sith would outnumber the Jedi, and evil would once against rule over the galaxy.

Yoda's species would be heavily involved in this stones recapturing.

    Once back in the Jedi's
hands. Both pieces would be placed together.

They melded into one once again. Only now the stone turned into what can only be described as clear stone that emitted a bright white light.

A young Jedi had a dream that night that the stone was meant to be destroyed in a Star and that it would send it's power across the galaxy to only those most deserving of it, and one day manifest itself as a being who would bring balance once and for all.

He told the Elder Jedi's and they agreed to make plans to do such..

Yoda's clan is the species that sends this stone into their planets neighboring Star. It explodes on impact destroying their world

    Many years later..

The Sith have turn against one another with out a stone to desire. Control of their own clan be

Wow, that's actually a very interesting story. I would love to see something like this on TV, or at the very least in a comic book series.

    =D=

I think everyone is just worried because they've picked what seems to be the most boring time period in GFFA's history in which to set the show.

    We'll see though.

not 100 percent on this point but the sith were a race of beings that had been aware of the force before anyone-the jedi was a religion that focused on the power of the force.how did the sith race perish?

They were wiped out by the Republic - Dark Jedi that left the order ruled them, and eventually came up with the Sith Order - the Jedi and Sith both go into periods of decline and renewal.

There is plenty of good places in the Old Republic to set a TV show, but it wont happen, because Lucas is only interested in the Galactic Civil War era, and has left the greater history to the EU people.

A KOTOR series would be great to explain this, but in the meantime check out the "Tales of The Jedi" series of comics...it is about the ancient Sith Empire from around 5000 B.B.Y. All collected in TPB, some are out of print currently though.

Actually Lucas said that they may make a TV Series set in the KOTOR era if the first two tv series are successful, so there is a chance that we may eventually see a KOTOR era TV Series.

Well we always have Ossus, that's where it is said where the Jedi began while the Sith race began on Korriban.
