    Just an update...

It is rumoured that the rumour about the sandcrawler being cancelled... was just a rumour.
    i.e. it isn't cancelled, of course that's just a rumour. ;)

I hate rumours, especially when it comes to the rumoured cancellation of the one vehicle I have been most lookig forward to.

Oh to live in day travelling distance of FAO Schwartz in NY.

The one in Beverly Hills sucked! They had nothing and that's exactly what I bought from them.

Generally they do suck. They have little stock and are horribly overpriced. I also had to wait for nearly an hour for them to figure out what was going on with the pre-order and find the thing...

...but I got it, and that's the main thing (not cheap though).

No, I think it's safe to say they had zero idea what was going on.

This is not a response to Grieyls' thread killing query above.

You know, when I left Australia I thought it was the beginning of a new Otter, or more specifically, the end of the old one, or more specifically, an end to all my toy buying.

But then people in the toy industry had other ideas (notably, Hasbro went a long way to encourage the evolution of the new improved toyless Otter).

First it was Palisades and their Muppets.
Then it was Medicom and their Planet of the Apes "figures".
Then it was Playmates and the whole new Ninja Turtle thing.
Then McFarlane quickened the Alien/Predator franchise.
And now he has just gone and done something truly... well... see for yourself

    How interesting.

Here we have Grieyls warning about the dangers of obsession...

    LOOK AROUND YOU FOR CRISSAKES!!!

I mean, that was hypocritical if I ever saw one :D

    Play nice now, children.

...and Luigi, I'm guessing McFarlane got the Matrix after the last mob did a mediocre job. They were good but...

Well, unlike you, I am a multi-faceted complex individual

Now the problem is I wiped out my collection but now I'm having serious thoughts about starting again and yes it will spoil my ubiqoutious savings plan.

All I have is one Alien Resurrection warrior, yoda with walking stick and one of those droids from TPM.

But these McFarlane toys are quite good so yes maybe it is time to part with my cash and start up a nice collection.
