SWRPF Archive Star Wars: Trapped Energies

Two thousand years before the Battle of Yavin, a sinister gem called the Meteor Diamond crash-landed on the lush planet of B'Kirdia. The Diamond, after being discovered by a small group of B'Kirdian hunters, was sent to the capital city for examination. After inspection turned up that the stone was a simple "space rock", the B'Kirdian people came to love its appearance, not realizing what it was originally created for. As it gained many worshippers, the Diamond extracted small pieces of its surroundings from the people's minds. When it had learned enough, it started to draw in everything on the planet. The citizens tried to flee, but the Diamond reeled them in, trapping the entire planet in a passive trance. Suddenly, B'Kirdia disappeared from the star charts, removing it and its people from historical archives. The mysterious Diamond was the only thing that could be linked to the disappearance of the planet, but it had hidden itself somewhere unknown to the galaxy. The B'Kirdians and their way of life were seemingly lost to the galaxy forever...

2 years after the Battle of Yavin, the Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance grapple with each other for control of the galaxy. When rumor about the Meteor Diamond and its hidden treasures swirled in the Imperial ranks, Emperor Palpatine decided that he must have control of the stone. After Rebel intelligence revealed this rumor, the Alliance decided to send its agents to find the stone, hoping that it would give them an advantage in the ongoing Civil War. Meanwhile, Jabba the Hutt, crimelord of Tatooine, also seeks the Diamond. Jabba has sent out bounty hunters to find the Diamond; he wants control of its mystical powers so that he can prevent interference with his crime operations. Also, a few other people are searching for the Diamond by themselves, hoping to use its energies for personal reasons. Each side believes that they must have the Diamond, and will do most anything to retrieve it from its hiding spot.


I, JEDIGUNSHIP, will be the GM for this game. However, to play in this game, you must abide by these rules:

1. PM All Character Sheets To Me. If You Post a CS in the Thread Without Approval, it Will be Ignored.

2. No Godmoding- This Rule Will Be Strictly Enforced to Ensure Fair Play

3. Only 1 or 2 Force-Users Are Allowed In the Game.

4. No Canon Characters Are Playable (Use OC's Only)

5. Follow TOS (especially the Banned Language List; repeated offenses will result in possible removal from the game.)

6. If you have problems with another player during the game, PM the GM. They will try to mediate any conflicts during the course of the game.

7. No "Internetese" speak or one-line posts. We want this to be as fun an experience as possible for everyone.

Bio: Antiark, or Ark, was born on the planet Kalee and raised as an orphan, seeing as his parents were killed by renagade soldiers. Growing up in an old, run down orphanage full of bullies and soon-to-be criminals he learned very young the cruelties of life. He was soon adopted by a bounty hunter by the name of Sian Venet, a trandosian.
Sian trained his new son in all the aspects of combat so as to breed the perfect warrior to pass on his legacy. Ark learned very quickly and by the age of 17 was a fully armored and outfitted assassin. His father escorted him on his first assignment to make sure he did not get killed. While ark was busy picking off security, his father began towards the compound were the target was hiding, but did not know that there was a Jedi guarding the entrence. Before he could react he was cut own by a lightsaber. Infuriated, ark tried to kill the jedi but only hit its lightsaber. He lost the kill and his father, but began to build up a hatred towards all living things, mostly jedi.

Bio: Sting is an Imperial agent, and has been sent by the Emperor himself to find the Meteor Diamond. Born on Coruscant, Sting has always been enamored by the Empire and its views of peace and justice. A boy when the Sith destroyed the Jedi Order, Sting knew that he would join the winning side, quick;y moving up in the Imperial ranks as his intelligence and no-mercy policies won him much respect from his peers. Sting's ship, the Stingray, is a custom-built vessel, and its Class 1.3 hyperdrive allows Sting to get to his destination faster than many other Imperial transports. He hates the Rebellion, and wants to restore peace and justice to the galaxy.

Sure. You send either windu4 or I a character sheet (see template above). Once it's approved, post it in the thread. For game play, we control our characters and their actions according to the chosen storyline (see top post). As GM (Game Master), I will control some of the non-playable characters (Darth Vader, Palpatine, Luke, every canon character). When you post for a character, write IC: and the name of the character you will write as. When you are done writing for that character, write TAG: and the name(s) of other players/characters. This way, there will be a chain of concurrent events so that we can keep the story going in chronological order. If you are still confused, I'll start the game up in this fashion. I hope this helps.

Emperor Palpatine strode around the room, his cloak following him as he walked around the room. In front of him stood Darth Vader, the metallic rasping of his breath simulator echoing around the room. "My friend," the Emperor began, "I have felt a great source of power." Vader, curious about the Emperor's statement, asked
"What is thy wish?"

"Lord Vader, there is a rumor in the Imperial ranks. It is of a marvelous stone, a Meteor Diamond. One that holds a key to crushing the Rebellion and ending this pointless conflict."

"Where can it be found?" asked Vader. He would go find the Diamond himself and end the war.

"Friend, I must ask you to send some of our best agents to find it. They will no doubt run into Rebel agents, but in battle, our soldiers are always better prepared. We will soon have this power source in our possession."

"Yes, my Master," said Vader as he bowed and headed to the turbolift.

Lord Vader approached Sting, and said "Agent, you are to be sent on a mission of top priority. Do not fail me."

"I will not fail, Lord Vader," Sting said cooly, knowing that he would discover the Diamond.

"I hope you are as good as you are confident," said the Dark Lord as he swept away, his cloak trailing in his wake. Sting knew that he would find the Diamond; however, he knew that the REbels would also come looking for the stone. However, he thought to himself, they would be no match for him or his allies; without a doubt, the Empire would end the conflict and regain control of the galaxy.

IC: as Kett: Kett was wandering around looking for work when Jabba the Hutt slithered over to him "i have an important job for you, there is a roumor that there is a diamond that holds great power if you will bring it to me there will be a very large reward" what Kind of a reward?" Kett asked "a new ship, 50,000 credits, things like that" Jabba Sugested "well I'll take the ship now and the credits later" Kett demanded "its a deal ill have more people to help you if you need them" Jabba said "i can handle this on my own" said Kett and stroed away to his new ship to get ready for the journy.

Antiark took in a deep breath through his filtration mask, preparing himself for the hell that he was about to unleash. He checked the power cell on His WESTAR blaster rifle and both of the cells on his blaster pistols. Now content that his weapons were ready, he peaked his head around the corner of the door way he was hiding in, seeing only two guards. He pulled a gas grenade from his grenade pouch on his lower back, armed and threw the grenade right behind the guards. the gas spewed out in a violent cloud of neuro-Toxins, killing the guards in a matter of seconds.
Then, keeping his back to the wall, Antiark slid down to the second door in the hallway, drawing his WESTAR into firing position. He reached up to his mask and switched it to Thermal vision, then grabbed a sticky grenade, a frag covered in his own special concoction, and stuck it to the locking mechanism on the door. He armed it, then rolled around the corner, waiting for the boom.
When it came, He tossed a smoke grenade in to provide cover, then burst in the door, firing at anything that registered as heat on his thermal vision. Blaster bolts started coming through the smoke, he rolled to find cover behind a stone planter, full of exotic plants from all over the galaxy. As the smoke began to clear he switched out of thermal to get a better view of his enemies, their targeting to good for guards.
He blind fired his gun, then poked his head up to see a battalion of Imperial troopers. Shocked and angry at this revelation, he threw his last frag grenade. hitting home in the middle of the battalion. Only a lucky few survived the blast, but it was not for long, as antiark began picking them off wit well placed shots to the head.
As the dust from the frag cleared, he saw that he was the only thing alive in the room, but did not lower his gun. He quickly checked the power cell and, finding it empty. slung it on his back and pulled out his two pistols.
'why did the Imperials interfere with me, they sent me here!' he thought to himself.
He strode across the room, no longer worried about stealth, towards his targets office. there was a code pad to enter the office, but Antiark just blasted the door open with his permacrete detonator, given to him by the imperial who hired him.
"No, please don't kill me!" pleaded the Rodian hiding behind his desk, which was strewn with maps and diagrams and drawings of some stone that Antiark had never seen.
"I'm not here to kill you, if i was you would already be dead, the empire wants you alive."
"why, what do they want from ME!" He yelled, on the verge of tears. By now Ark was in front of him and had done enough talking. He pistol wiped him in the head and threw him over his shoulder, out cold.
The Empire better pay double for their interference.

Bio: Pil was a teenager when Palpatine created the Galactic Empire, but he didn't let a change in government stop him from seeking high-risk adventure. Although he would not do any death-defying stunts, Pil would intead try to find treasures. When he heard of the Meteor Diamond rumor from an Imperial officer at a local pub, he decided to go looking for it because of its value as an artifact. Pil wants the Diamond not for its powers but for its pure radiance and color.

Pil woke up to the Coruscant sun shining in the nearby window. Groggily, he sat up and searched for his things. Today was the day that he would start looking for the Meteor Diamond, the precious gem that he had overheard a conversation about. Something like that would look great in his collection; now all he needed to do would be outsmart the Empire and get to it first.

watched the stars fade to starlines as he went into hyperspace. he was fiarly exited to be on a mission after all these months of no work, but he was also tired so he put the ship on autopilot and stroed into his bedroom, and collapsed onto his bed.

Joe had just finished his last mission, but for some odd reason, was still going while his associates were tired and asleep. As the group of Rebel agents entered the Alliance base, a commander strode up to Joe and said "Agent, you are to partake upon a very crucial mission. Details are in this packet." The commander handed Joe a packet of information. "Enclosed is a datapad with all of the necessary information. We are sure tht the Empire will be looking for this item as well, so the datapad has a remote-controlled self-destruct mechanism just in case it falls into Imperial hands."

"Sir, I just got back from a mission," said Joe, "Can't this wait a day? We're exhausted."

"Agent, we can't risk losing a day for this. it might turn the tide of the war for us if we can retrieve it."

"Why can't you send soldiers or other agents?"

The commander leaned up to Joe and whispered in his ear. "Because we are a ragtag group; we don't HAVE disposable agents. If you remember, we are a little short on manpower as it is."

"I see," said Joe, clutching the packet. "I'll try to get my fellows up, but that may be a difficult task. The last mission we were sent on was tedious, and we're all tired."

"We need you to do this mission," repleid the Commander. "It may determine the outcome of the war." With that, he turned around and headed farther into the base, leaving Joe and the other agents alone in the front of the base.

The constant groan of the prisoner, who was being restrained under a neural inhibiter, began to Distract Ark. Though his ship was one of the fastest in the galaxy (due to modifications) this trip seemed to never end. Finally Ark roused himself to turn on the auto pilot and turn his chair around to face the prisoner.
"So, you got a name or what?" said ark.
"Naaa...Gaw..laaa...naaa,,," was the sound that he made. Ark quickly realized his mistake and turned off the Neural inhibiter.
"Ahhh, god" was the first thing he got out of his mouth.
"I'll ask again. whats your name?"
"M-M-My n-name is P-Petrarch T-Trison."
"Okay Petrarch, why are you so valuable that the Emperor Himself demanded your capture?"
"The Emperor! Oh no, no no no no, not good, he cannot have it!"
"Have it? Have What?"
"What? What do you mean what? On the destroyer of civilizations!"
"And what is that?"
"The Meteor Diamond! A force so powerful it was said to have clensed a whole planet of every living thing!"
Ark had heard enough, he slid on his sith visor and reactivated the neural inhibiter.
"time to go night night"
The emperor would pay triple for this catch, But unbenounced to Ark was that the information he was just given would lead him to the ultimate Tragedy.

Sting climbed into his personal ship Stingray, starting up the engines and pullin gout of the hangar. As his ship started to ascend, Sting thought about his path to respect in the Imperial ranks. If Lord Vader had briefed him in person, then he had finally made the pinnacle of influence in the Imperial Agent ranks; something like that only happened to the elite. He liked the sound of that word; elite. It had a nice ring to it, a sound that rang in his ears.

Joe wearily headed back to his feelow agents; they were awake, but were stil showing signs of fatigue. "Sorry, gang, we have another mission."

"Another?" groaned somneone, "Joe, we just came back."

"I wasn't given a choice on this. Plus, you can sleep on the way."

"Where are we going?"

"I guess I'll have to open the packet and find out."

He carefully slit the packet open, plling the datapad out. Turning it on, he could suddenly see a stream of coded information. The commander was right; this mission could prove vital to the Rebellion.

Thax coased the Emerald Star out of hyperspace he was tracking a speciic bounty hunter under JAbba. Jabba had told him to keep an eye on him because he did not know if he could trust him fully. Thax stared as the fighter slowly. His advanced scanners told him he was on auto pilot which made the job all the more easy. Thax smirked and cracked his knuckles as he leaned back.
