Man I'm gone away from my computer for 36 hours and BAM all sorts of new stuff showing up!!! First a new web doc to watch and to begin things... My source told me there are going to be 20 cartoon network clone wars shows, which was confirmed earlier by TFN and the commercial for the release of the SE OT on DVD, but there wasn't any re-done shots in the commercial!! Hope you all get a chance to peruse the site soon to see all the cool new things!!

Saw DVD's for the Clone Wars, plus SEVERAL fan films at AdventureCon. Didn't know if the CW on was real or bootlegged- hadn't heard if they had been released or not. Figured I'd wait to be sure and buy the real thing. Anthony Daniels did mention the new SW DVDs. Said that he had been intervied for about 3hrs for it- and said that means we should only see about a 30 second spot with him!

Someone in the audience asked him to tell us about what happens to Anakin/Vader in Ep3. HE started to speak and then acted like he was being force-choked! He did say expect a darker tone, a GREAT fight scene between Anakin/Obi (D'uh!), and that it really flows well into ANH.

So is the Dark Tower series good? A friend was telling me about it and I've been pondering wether or not to purchase them.

Overall, it's good. The first book is rather slow, but it soon picks up in the second book. The third and fourth are excellent, the 5th average, and the jury's still out on DT6.

Finally saw the trailer. The films look even better than the last release. It looks like they've cleaned the color up even more since they released the SE's back in 1997. Can't wait!!! Makes me want to see them all on the big ol' screen!

No all-nighters in my backyard. We'd get arrested.

Maybe extend it over three nights, with a bit of the documentary disc each night.

Don't know if it's real or not yet, but let the "raping of your childhoods" begin. ;)

Why can't Lucas leave well enough alone? Apart from anything else, why replace Shaw for the ghosts scene and not the unmasking? [face_plain]

And why does this piece of **** board not let you stay logged in for more than two weeks, it did when I was a mod!
It's enough to make me sign the mods up for serious goat porn spam. :Vsign.gif:

    er... Goat porn spam? [face_sick]

    .....ew

And I miss the old days when you only had to sign in once a year.

    Back to the subject...

One thing I have noticed is the exceptionally clear visual quality of the DVD stills. It looks like they've done a really good job in the transfer process.

The ghost scene doesn't bother me. Lando's dancing at the celebration scene, however, should be fixed. He's a brother, dammit. He looks like he may have just had three or four ice-cold 40 ozs of Colt .45.

Re Lando dancing, I think Lucas wanted to prove that not all black men are natural dancers. ;)

I don't mind if they put Hayden in ROTJ.....they need to change his clothes, though. Anakin wouldn't be caught dead in beige.....pun intended. ;) [face_laugh]

Either that, or Lando was dancing to the Al Green music in his head, Ben.

Traci: Yep, I know what you mean about the robes. Since when did Anakin ever wear that outfit?

I was just lurking on the Nashville boards, and someone there was saying that LFL is releasing the Droids cartoon series as well as the Ewok made-for-TV movies on DVD.

Anyone care to comment as to why? Why not just release the Holiday Special in time for Christmas?

I hate to tell them, but not all SW is good SW.

When you get down to it, the Hayden 'ghost' scene is just more Greedo-shoots-first style tampering by Lucas.

When do we ever see him wearing the same style robes that Guinness or Shaw have; why don't we see a younger Obi-Wan and Yoda too; Anakin dies looking like Sebastian Shaw, not Christiansen, so why show up as ghost Christiansen; and if Luke sees an old Anakin when he takes the helmet off, he's going to be wondering who the hell the kid with ghost Yoda and Obi-Wan is!

There's just no frigging logic to this change!

I foresee much wailing and knashing of teeth Sept. 22nd. ;) Boy, won't this be a fun place to be? Let's make a pact right now, to voice those opinions in the movie threads. [face_peace]

Chock full o' goodness, ain't it?? I still want a Commentary by Yoda and Jar Jar for the films.

Jar Jar: "OOH! Meesa likey deesa pawt!"
    Yoda: "MMmm--annoying are you."

I've seen the hayden rotj stuff, it looks ok. i'm not happy with the change but as Shmi said "You can't stop the change". I'll still buy the set. The screen shots that i've seen are beautiful and put next to laserdisc screen shots, make a grown star wars nerd wanna cry. I wish i had high speed so that I could download the dvd+r rip, but i'm too poor to afford that sort of thing.
