How could he be an alias for Darth Sidious? Palpatine is Darth Sidious (I think). Sifo Dyas was a Jedi, I think the rest of the Jedi would have made the connection?

 

don't be so sure... he "was killed, or left the Jedi Order 10 years ago..." if I recall. Sidious, change one letter... Si-fo Dias. I will do some research.

 

You have to change more than one letter for that to work but I never noticed the similarity before. The other thing is if he was a Jedi, wouldn't others recognize him?

 

That's what I'm saying. If he was a Jedi then died then came back as a politician 10 years later, I think someone would have made the connection.
