I believe his story came about based on a McQuarrie conceptual painting in Yavin temples, if memory serves. There was like a crystal with a face in it.

I want to comment about something, but wait until May.

Everyone knows Jabba the Hutt held a Rancor for amusment purposes... name another crime lord who managed to out do Jabba... and with what creature?

Riff, I haven't seen the trailer, so it is a spoiler...from a certain point of view.

Joe, they also called him Stinky.

Lodreh, Jabba's arms aren't large enough to hold a Rancor...

It would be an EU question, and eddie-wan's answer does fit, since you didn't specify what you meant by "out-do". Could be Xizor & Guri (or Leia...) or film-based, Gardulla & Diva Funquita (of course, she was an aide). Couldn't be Hat Lo, since he was a flunky of Jabba's who claimed to be a powerful "boss".

I am thinking Eddie-wan is correct. Because knowing Lodrehs tastes, and also knowing of the abilities of Guri, that would fit.

Not the one I had in mind but it works :) Give us another round Eddie-wan ;)

See Wampa in EU the great and powerful Lod-Reh tamed a fierce beast known as the Kimogilia ( Lokian version of the Krayt Dragon ) and all cowered before his might... ok maybe not but it was still pretty damn cool .

Actually, I recall a story with someone bragging that so-n-so had a Krayt Dragon and Jabba could only manage a Rancor... no sure where I read it but I know it's out there... I was hoping someone here could fill in the blanks ;)

In the EU, Jabba once had a krayt dragon. Don't know who else...

You read my mind Riff. Thats EXACTLY what I was thinking.

    Okay, heres one:

Originally, Kenny Baker was supposed to play the part of Wicket the Ewok. Why happened to Baker that led to the part going to Warwick Davis?

Why happened? Phrased that way, I'd have to say it was destiny... that's why.

    WRONG!

Then rephrase the question. You didn't ask "What" happened, but "why". The Jedi taught me not to assume anything...

No response? OK, it's because Baker was ill... 20 years & some change later, Baker would lose his driver's license for driving drunk... perhaps still drowning his sorrows over the "I coulda played Wicket, @%#% it!" incident. (OK, I made that part up.)

Davis got to play a larger role because of his youth he was more active in the suit, plus he was the only Ewok actor who could stick his tongue out of the costume. Guess that also plays a part in your question, as to why he was the one selected to replace the sick Baker, and not just "Why was Baker not able to play the part". If someone calls you a "Sick Baker", respond with "Yub Nub".

If that's not a sufficient enough answer then ignore the following new question...

    * What was the name of the ship Biggs Darklighter was stationed on, before he "jumped ship" (OK, more of a mutiny...) for the Rebellion?

Sorry Joe, didnt notice my typo on the "why" instead of "what." Remember, I dont have a !&^!&! monitor at home right now, so I couldnt respond until this morning. But you are correct, Baker became ill, specifically food poisoning.
