What could they possibly cram onto a season lineup? Mega amounts of Ewoks, Droids, and Clone Wars reruns? Ewok movies? The films over and over and over again?

And the problem with this would be...?

 

The problem is that although it sounds like a dream for us hardcore geelks, a channel like that would NEVER get enough ratings to stay on the air.

 

Lucasfilm is more than just Star Wars you know.

 

Yes but the domain isn't "LucasfilmTV", it's "JediTV". That deals more with Star Wars than Lucasfilm in general.

once they devoted a whole issue to Indy Jones

Still, I can't see a big market for constant replays of Howard the Duck.

 

You never know. Lucas said he'd like to start doing television. Lucasfilm could start investing in a lot of TV shows, not just SW but original ones as well.

I imagine a lot of CGI cartoons.

And here, we figure out the TRUE agenda beneath EP2s joke name- JAR JARS BIG ADVENTURE.

Just like the Ewoks, just jarjar, what a hit with the critics!

 

It's altogether possible GL did this so, with no plans to launch a network, no one else could use that name.

 

I hope this is true. I really think it would be quite cool and just what is wrong with the cartoon, picky picky......

 

I would guess this isn't going to be a channel, but something like an hour-long block on an already established channel. Maybe Sci-Fi. So that hour would be called: JediTV.

I think that makes more sense than an entire new channel.

Maybe it's the name of the 2006 TV series?

 

TV shows, movies, Fan films, documenterys, games reveiws and cheats show. coming soon hours, including the next episode of the TV show, and next fan film, and the next game. An Osbourns style show called the Lucas'! Comptions, and once a year special treat on christmas day...the holiday special!

 

But the question is: If it truly is such a TV channel, would it last. (I'd hope so!)

 

You know how when you watch a show at the end they have a few second long advert for the production company. Chances are this is the production company for the TV show.

 

Maybe they would show Star Wars Fan films too? Though I think that would be wishful thinking. It will probably just be a LucasFilms/Arts home shoping channel.

 

I don't think that this is a whole channel, rather an arm of Lucasfilm that will be handling any SW TV shows / telemovies / miniseries that may be produced. That would make more sense.

I'd have to agree. That's the most likely explanation. ABC has the "Wonderful World of Disney". Perhaps FOX will have "Jedi TV".

I don't see how they could come up with enough material for a whole tv channel.

 

also, would you all want a 24hr lucasfilm channel?

and even if its called jeditv that doesnt mean it cant talk about Indy or anything not sw related

just look at SW Insider called SW Insider but talks about indy and non-sw stuff

-Show that just displays page after page of comic books so instead of a live motion show its just pages of comics for the viewer to read
-Rebel Rumblings-talks about anything in the Sw universe news
-A show that talks about SW and the fans fogot the name
