It could be a no commercial tv channle. Wow. I hope this is true. Ewoks, droids, movies, clone wars, wow I want this to be true!

 

It is going to be the "Star Wars Holiday Special" 24/7/365.

But it will be the "Star Wars Holiday Special: Special Edition" where they have digitally inserted Jar Jar Binks, Pauly Shore, Carrot Top and Tom Arnold in various scenes alongside Art Carney, Bea Arthur and Jefferson Starship. Also, they have removed all scenes with Harrison Ford in it after he filed a defamation suit.

Could it BE any more lame? I'll special edition you!!!

 

Someone pointed out to me that it would be possible for some fan to register that domain and make it redirect to StarWars.com just to trick us.

Is there any solid evidence that this domain does indeed belong to LFL?

But seriously, does Lucasfilm have enough for their own channel?

 

You guys do realize they can make many, many shows and cartoons outside of the realm of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Jim Henson right?

I'm betting Lucasfilm Animation will play a role in it. I'd expect a lot of different TV shows that have nothing to do with what Lucas has done in the past.

 

You guys are also forgetting something else:

- they can show all the old interviews of Star Wars actors on talk shows
- they can show all the movie/tv reference shows
(IE Friends "The one with the Princess Leia Bikini"
- they can show all the old spoofs of Star Wars
(IE SNL - The Carrie Fisher episode or Kevin Spacey)
- they can show movies with multiple SW references such as Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back

 

They could also have a call in hour to ask Rick or even our master lord, Lucas come in and for that hour we would ask questions...that would be so awesome!

Would love to tell you all the news I got but I might get into trouble as TFN just did for revealing just a snippit of the news

 

As much as I would love to see this as an actual channel, I have to agree with some of those in here that think "Jedi TV" is more likely to be the reserved name for a time block on tv (undoubtedly Fox), sorta like the daily prime time block "Must See TV" on NBC, or the weekly "TGIF" on ABC. Although this isn't a channel, I can't wait if it's really going to happen. Weekly shows and perhaps a different feature length film a week/month?!? Super!

What the hell are these "Droid Movies" that people keep mentioning?

 

Lucas registered Jedi TV just to be sure no else could somehow exploit the name. SOP in the entertainment business.
IMHO, there is just too small an audience for a "All Star Wars" or even "All Lucas" cable channel.Hardcore fans forget they are ,in terms of mass audience, a small demographic.
