The big thing to take away here is that apparently Harrison didn't think it was even a spoiler if he didn't mind saying it.

I honestly believe it has to do the part from the trailer where Han says "it's all true, the dark side, the jedi....it's real."

He is probably referring to the jedi order that once existed (which is from the prequels) and the sith, etc and what went down with Vader destroying them. Just everything that happened in the galaxy that led to the rise of the darkside and the fall of the jedi. It's the stuff of legend.

Definitely not on par, but it could be a pretty powerful moment nonetheless, depending on how they build to it.

 

Once again, I offer the Ford haters a stadium full of seats. Un-twisting your pants on the way down might be a good idea as well.

 

i think it actually lost a lot of its power with the EW picture reveal and then the trailer with rey crying.

The picture placed her at the battle and she is left standing, albeit emotional over someone, seemingly implying the battle had concluded. Unless you basically had no interaction with the marketing (then i'd question why someone would read a star wars q&a) it borders on "spoiler" and confirmation territory. I guess it depends where people fall on that spectrum.

That picture was the worst. I like it but should be released pre film bo absolutely not. Entertainment Weekly just give stuff away. Heck the new batman trailer was basically a summary of the film.

 

How is it a spoiler? We already know they fight based on the trailers and stuff.

 

There's nothing in the official media showing a lightsaber fight between Kylo and Rey. Rey is shown using her staff and a blaster (in completely different scenes). Finn is shown using a lightsaber.

 

Yeah, I guess. I just always assumed it was Finn fighting Kylo since we see him wielding a lightsaber in the same snowy environment Kylo pulls his out, and Finn is the main (only?) one shown wielding a lightsaber besides Kylo. Seems like a pretty easy set of dots to connect, really.

 

I think that confirms a Poe and Rey romance arc

Unless Rey is a Skywalker and Poe really is like an adopted son to Leia. Then it could get weird...

 

He's not an adopted son to Leia.

 

Not literally, but hasn't it been said Leia is like a surrogate mother to Poe? Or have I been reading too much speculation?
