Star Wars versus Lord Of The Rings

Today I was watching FOTR and I was thinking, would it be cool if star wars characters squared off against lord of the rings characters, its a cool hypothetical discussion. So I said, what the hell, i'll make it a thread since a lot of us are fans of both sagas. So here it is,
First rule, lightsabers and swords can clash, lightsabers would not cut through the swords and vice versa. All other powers and skills come into play though.
Here are some cool matchups,

yoda vs. gandalf
sidious vs. saruman
aragorn vs. obi wan
legolas vs. jango fett/ or anakin
gimli vs. chewy
there are tons of other possibilites. discuss and give scenarios and stuff

 

I guess that would make on of the matches Luke vs. Frodo. Not hard to guess who would win there.....

 

well saruman would definetly beat sidious

yoda and gandalf would never fight and edn up creating a great friendship

obi wan would beat aragorn

chewy would rip gimli to shreds

jango would beat legolas

and an ewok vs a hobbit would be good

 

Yoda vs. Gandalf

Gandalf the Gray stands no chance against the Jedi Master...Gandalf the White however, is a different story entirely...

Sidious vs. Saruman

Christopher Lee wins this one, hands down.

Aragorn vs. Obi-Wan

With the force, I give Obi-Wan the slight edge here. If no force, Aragorn wipes the floor.

Legolas vs. Jango fett/ or Anakin

Legolas kills both of them with one shot.

Gimli vs. Chewy

Gimli takes off one of Chewies legs, but Chewie then picks it up and beats Gimli senseless with it.

 

Chewy grabs Gimli by the beard, throws him against the wall, and caps him with his bowcaster before he can get his mine-loving @$$ off the ground.

As awsome as Legolas is, I wouldn't dismiss his opponents so easily, ESPECIALLY Anakin!

 

What about Arwen vs. Padme? Hmmmm?

 

Sidious vs. Saruman would be cool. But I Still like the Luke vs. Frodo thing. And what about clone troopers vs. Saruman's army?

 

stormtroopers vs. orcs
ringwraiths vs. emperors royal guards
rancor or acklay vs. cave troll
darth maul vs. lurtz

 

Luke would destroy Frodo. Sure Frodo could dissapear, but Luke would still sense him. Then Luke would proceed to destroy Frodo befor he could even draw the sting.

 

That's obvious.

 

Who would Mace Windu fight?

 

alright everybody i am going to prove how wrong you all are with your silly little assumptions because i have read hundreds of LOTR side books and consult my bestiary often, i even am starting to learn elvish...

but here are what would really happen:

well saruman would definetly beat sidious, hands down

yoda and gandalf would never fight and end up creating a great friendship yet if they were forced to battle it would go on forever until a more important matter was at hand

obi wan would beat aragorn

chewy would rip gimli to shreds

jango or anakin would beat legolas

Arwen would beat padme without a care

Luke vs frodo is not matched correctly

The clone troopers would have the upper hand for a while but when they run out of ammo Sarumans army would destroy the clone troopers

orcs would kill the stormtroopers

the wringwraiths would easily kill the imperial royal guards

the cave troll would beat the aclay or the rancor

Darth maul would crush a lurtz

now the ring would cause a huge desturbance in the force and luke would be somewhat affected by it but would sense the eye of the desturbance and kill frodo though it would have temporarily weaken luke

Mace windu would fight elrond and win

now a good fight would be an ewok vs. a hobbit

 

A regular hobbit vs. an Ewok, the Ewok wins.

Frodo, Merry, Pippin, Sam or Bilbo, the hobbit wins

BTW Don't dismiss Frodo against Luke. Frodo has the ONE RING.

It can do more then just make you invisible...

(Disclaimer:If that comment seems mean it is because I am in a bad mood about going back to school on friday. Damn the person who made the foreign language requirement.....)

BTW, the Clone Troopers would beat Saruman's army. The clone troopers have air ships, land crafts, plus energy rifles. I also don't think that an arrow would easily get through a clone troopers armor. Also, the clone troopers outnumber Saruman's army.

i think you'd have to take away some of the clonetroopers vehicles and heavy artillery just to be fair. Hand to hand with their blasters and armor are fair agains Sarumans army with swords, axes, bows and armor.

and elvish isnt hard at all, its like finnish a lot

 

Jango Fett would lose, no matter who he faced. He'd just get the ole Elven katana to the head.

Jango actually has a good chance of winning. He is good at long range combat plus he always has extra weapons. Bounty hunters tend to be well armed.
