ST Star Wars VII Predictions thread

10 points for predicting which role each new cast member will play.
20 points for predicting major plot points.
Submissions end on November 2014.

My entry:

Domhnall Gleeson - Computer hacker type character
Andy Serkis - Various Creatures/aliens
Oscar Isaac - Son of Han Solo
Adam Driver - Jedi apprentice who turns into Sith, unrelated to big three
John Boyega - Jedi apprentice unrelated to big three
Max Van Sydow - Sith Lord
Daisy Ridley - Jedi apprentice, unrelated to big three, main protagonist

Plot predictions:
Three Jedi apprentices trained by Luke Skywalker head to Tatooine on a pilgrimage, where they must navigate the desert, fighting off Tuskan Raiders with vibroswords before constructing their lightsabers from a crystal cave, they succeed in doing so.
Meanwhile, Luke trains more apprentices back at the academy on Dagobah, they explore caves and force sensitive areas, being tested the way Luke was in Empire.
There's some sort of action sequence which takes place through the marketplace, the characters (specifically John Boyega) are chased through there by sand people on new types of speeders.
There's a 'Cantina' type scene on steroids.
Han Solo resides on Coruscant, estranged from Leia, he's somewhat of a celebrity in the lower city along with Chewie, his son along with some other new characters go to visit him to use the Falcon.

That's all I've got really, oh and Adam Driver gets corrupted by dark side energy on Dagobah.

Solo daughter crashes on Tatooine after being pursued by the bad guys because she discovered part of their plot.
she meets John's character who is partners with Isaac
desert chase ensues
they smuggle her off Tatooine
they return to Coruscant to let the OT3 know what's happening
Luke and son go to investigate with the rest.
big battle ensues where Plagueis and Driver are revealed, cut off Daisy's hand, and flee
Han dies saving his daughter and Leia
Oscar and Daisy become an item

Plot predictions:
Luke shows that he is the most powerful Jedi of all-time
Han Solo & Chewbacca sacrifice themselves for the greater good of our new heroes, whilst at the helm of The Falcon
Boyega's character is our new Luke/Anakin hero
Max von Sydow's character is an ancient Sith Lord - whether it's Darth Bane or Darth Plagueis, I haven't figured out yet
Force Ghost Obi-Wan will make a cameo appearance
Force Ghost Anakin will give Luke critical information on the Ancient Sith
Leia is a high ranking political figure
Luke & Leia's family "secret" (Vader) causes political tensions and disarray
Parallel of the Obi-Wan arm chopping cantina scene
The Empire is still in power on various planets throughout the galaxy
The Hutts have a bounty on Luke's head for what he did to Jabba

Why not?

Boyega: gifted trainee of Luke's
Ridley: daughter of Solo and Leia who gradually comes into Jedi-hood
Gleeson: descendant of Obi-Wan's
Driver: fallen Jedi who falls into the Sith ways as a host of the Sith spirit
Serkis: Bob (I HOPE so)
Isaac: rogue pilot who acts as a sort of guide but works secretly for the villain
Sydow: Sith overlord whose spirit uses Driver as a host

Plot: Still working on it

 

Why not, indeed?

Boyega: Jedi padawan who grew up without his biological father. He is either the adopted son of Luke Skywalker, or else he and Luke will form a strong father-son bond over the course of the story and he will be, in effect, Luke's surrogate son. The main protagonist of the entire ST.

Ridley: Han and Leia's daughter. Very gifted in the force. She is either a Jedi at the start of our story, or she becomes one. The female lead of the ST.

Isaac: Han and Leia's son. Takes after Han and is not gifted with force-ability. The third member of the "new young trio."

Driver: Fallen Jedi, unrelated to any of our main characters, at least biologically. But he has some personal reason for hating the OT3 and wanting revenge.

Serkis: Alien sidekick in the tradition of Chewie and Jar-Jar. Hopefully more Chewie than Jar-Jar.

Gleeson: Supporting character. I think he is likely the "intellectual" character listed on the call sheet. He may be a Jedi student who changes sides and helps push the plot forward (changing from good to evil, or maybe from evil to good). Or he may be playing a droid.

Max Von Sydow: Used to be a bigwig in the old Empire and now the tables are turned and he is leading the "new rebellion" against what he considers to be an evil empire.

Plot: Still working on it, but Leia definitely dies in VII and Han probably dies too. I expect they will die together.

 

The BMF saber will be the Elder Wand of Star Wars.

Plot:
Daisy Ridley - Jedi Knight and John Boyega - Jedi Knight crash on Tatooine during a mission, runs into Oscar Isaac that helps them.
After they have been fighting lots of bad guys wanting to kill them, mandos, mercs etc.They get away
Then they travel with the Falcon that Chewie came with,on their way to Coruscant the planet is attacks by an ancient Sith armada lead by
an old baddie voiced/acted by Sydow/Serkis. And his apprentice Driver a Sith lord that lead the assault on ground..
Leia is in charge of the Republic. They try to kill Leia but she destroy the Sith in a force/saber battle.Driver survives after Leia push him out the window.
Leia escapes with the Republic fleet. In the flagship lead by Han Solo Han fights them off so Leia can escape the planet.
Leia Calls out to Han in the force, as Leias ship is destroyed Han managed to save her from the burning ship and they get away.


Meanwhile another Sith strikeforce attack Yavin IV were a few younglings are only guarded by two Jedi.
The Sith Marauders and Imperial commandos numbers more then 50. As they walk on the temple were the younglings hide and the Jedi Knights
brace themself for certain death a man in brown robe appears behind the two Jedi. The Sith force stop as a man pulls down his hood and
Luke Skywalker appear and says hello there..... Luke orders the two Jedi to stay behind him,Luke says: This time Sith the younglings survive !
After Lukes most amazing force lightsaber battle ever watch on the screen,all the Sith forces is dead but one Imperial Captain
is alive.Luke walks over to him as the officer screams into a mic it's Luke !! open fire NOW !! everything you have !

In space the Sith armade turns the big canons towards the planet and fire,on ground Luke smiles as he raises his hand and create a force field
above the temple,the massive turbolaser hits explodes over them as Luke close his hand and in space the canons one by one are crushed
on the sides of the ships. Luke then make a push away movement with his hand and the massive ships like on giant waves gets pushes away
and explodes.The Captain looks on at Luke in shock wondering how can anyone be that powerful.

Are you planning on tracking the points for this? This seems too vague to make it feasible.

At any rate, people are welcome to participate in this thread, but as it's not an approved contest, there should be no expectation of "winner" status and title for this.

 

Vastor and Darth Chiznuk, AWESOME plot ideas. Especially like the idea of Boyega being Luke's favourite apprentice and how the story goes to Morriband with the tombs and Luke playing more of Yoda-esque character.

I won't be able to do it all myself as this may be a big thread eventually, people can just count their own points when the film comes out, then post their score and let everybody debate the winner.

 

Max Von Sydow - Imperial. Was sent on a secret mission in the unknown regions as a younger man, Returns with new discoveries.
Andy Serkis - (Assuming hes Playing a CGI Character) New species found by Sydow, Travels with him as a emissary type role at first. Possibly Sith Species,
Or another type of ancient Evil species. Uses Sydow to observe the galaxy and learn all he can.
Adam Driver - Possibly Related to Sydow, Or even Sidious. Secretly Trained and taught to use to dark side by Andy Serkis Character. Maybe Joins Jedi order under cover.
Daisy Ridley - Going to assume its the daughter of either Leia or Luke. Love interest of Driver.
John Boyega - Jedi Knight
Domhnall Gleeson - Possibly son of luke
Oscar Isaac - Military or Smuggler type.

Last two i really cant guess.
Leia will die in Ep.7.

As EHT said above, this is not an approved contest so there will be no winning colors or titles. It looks like you would tally your own points (honor system) and then you get to say you won.

 

Max Von Sydow - An Empire sympathizer in the Senate. Basically funds anti republic activities in the outer rim territories while undermining Leia in government by bringing up her connection with Vader.
Andy Serkis - This generation's Chewbacca
Adam Driver - Former apprentice of Luke. Was trained with Daisy but had a Darth Revan style encounter with the dark side. Now he has returned and is working with von Sydow to disrupt the replublic. Later betrays the old guy and his master is shown.
Daisy Ridley - Luke's niece and last apprentice before he stopped teaching the ways of the force. She "discovers" Boyega's character and has a feeling from the force that he's going to be important to the future of Jedi. Rebellious and atypical, she essentially takes the role of Qui Gon/PT Obi Wan
John Boyega - An untrained force adapt that is the Luke of this story. His story involves a missing/dead sister. Ridley pushes him to be trained because of some unknown role he'll play later on. Luke initially isn't down with the idea because of what happened with Driver's character.
Domhnall Gleeson - A droid. I know its not a popular thought, but I think he's the C3PO of the story. I don't know. I just can't imagine Anthony Daniels playing the character for 3 movies. If he is a droid, he'll have a different personality but will take that role.
Oscar Isaac - Either a Republic soldier or a Scavenger.

PLOT:

• Sympathizers of the Empire work to undermine the republic
• Vader's role in the Empire will make life hard for Leia and Luke. Especially Leia
• Luke is the strongest Jedi in history
• There is yet to be a Jedi Order. Luke chose, instead, to train those he felt led to by the force. His apprentices wanted him to establish one, but he was against it.
• John Boyega's character has a sister who may become crucial to the story later on
• Luke will not want to take new apprentices
• Adam Driver was an apprentice to Luke
• von Sydow's character is being used and the real Palpatine-like character won't be revealed until the end of the movie.
• The ST will be the start of the new Jedi Order.

 

Hmmm... So the points are for pride, eh? I'd love to be a force ghost, but that'd probably make somebody mad @ JJ.

 

I also predict the Jedi take on a hero vigilante role, Batman style, After all the Sith/Jedi Shenanigans
