Woah! Everyone here needs to calm down for a moment. sarlaccpit_48, you do know you're making a huge assumtion by grouping all Trekies together, just by your exprience of one, don't you? I'm a Trekie, and I'm not such a bad person. And yes, I'm an avid Star Wars fan. Is there something inherently wrong with me because I can enjoy both? Remember, this is a subjective topic, completely opionions, so there's isn't any actual way to win this debate.

Asking me to say which is better would be like asking which of my children is my favorite.

I love them equally for their different attributes

No, never. I have seen entire message boards go down in flame wars over this subject.

We can't end the debate. We shouldn't try to end it.

Unless it's Han vs. Kirk in a poker game. That is a fun vs. debate and something that would happen.

I'd have to go with Han in a poker game, though I'm sure Kirk would give him agood run for his money. I just wonder who would win in if it was Spock versus Han.

Star Trek is more fleshed out in film while Star Wars has a better aesthetic. Thats it really. Other then that they are equally compelling although IMO Gene Roddenberry is infintely more brilliant in his way then Lucas. The guys a social scientist and learned historian. Lucas is an imaginative craftsman.

I haven't watched Trek, but I am planning to do so soon. Just to spite Star Wars. Take that, prequels.

The infantile nature of that response from a page or two back just proves how these things never end well. Too many people have too high of a stupendous opinion about their own opinion (and havent the foggiest idea about when to stop keep kicking the dead horse (THE PREQUELS ARE DONE, GET OVER IT!)).

Star Wars doesn't have Gul Dukat. Therefore Trek is superior.

Worf's too... tame. His warrior spirit has been dampened. I go with Chewie.

But Worf will make him work for it...

Both of them, have been, domesticated by someone, Worf-Troi, Han-Chewie. It is really 2 close 2 call. I shall sit on the fence. 50/50.

Have you ever seen that episode where Worf is in a Dominion prison and they make constantly fight. He wasn't lacking any Warrior spirit in that one. Chewie would probably win because he has a longer reach but it would be a hell of a fight.

    That was awesome...

"I cannot defeat him. I can only kill him."

Like I said, he'd make him work for it.

Lets kick it up a notch. Chewie has some type of blade/uses his claws, and Worf has his trusty batleth. What then?

Ooh, now it's in Worf's favor. He's a champion Bat'leth user, and has won at least one tournament with it. He's very proficient with it.

Chewie with a Ryyk blade... I know he's used it before, but I'm fairly sure he's not as skilled with it as Worf. He's more used to using his bowcaster. And normally, he wouldn't use his claws. Cultural taboo.

Chewie is already a madclaw trhough, isn't he? So why should he care wheter or not he uses his claws. he's already screwed. :p

Nope. IIRC, Zaalbar is, but not Chewie. He's got near-mythic status on Kashyyyk. Madclaws are, at best, outcasts.

And even if he does, Worf's got the skill advantage IMHO. CHampion standing at least on bat'leth tournament. And those aren't 'tame' matches where they're called on account of amputation.

I wouldn't count Chewie out I dare say hes skilled with a number of weapons, but Worf is pretty good with a Bat'leth so he might have a slight edge.
