Not that I'm aware of. It is just something that a few people are doing on their own. As far as I know, there is no current project actually in Calgary, underway.

 

ah well that sorta sucks .... ah well i write short star wars story's im workign on this one about the jedi being on earth but this takes place way before the republic or when jedi called themselves jedi it is mostly starting from the start the beginning when a selected few atarted tapping into the force befoer even the knowledge of the force sorta thing

 

I would love a Calgary based Fan Film. We have talent, the costumes, and the fight choreographer. We just need a script and someone with a camera to say "I'll film it"

 

My fanfilm is in post right now, and it will probably be that way until Christmas or so. Our tech guy is the busiest editor at his film school, so he's got a lot on his plate with a 10-15 minute fanfilm, most of which has some rotoscoping in it. I'm thinking of a few ideas for my next one though. If I do an SW fanfilm I'd want either lightsabers/blasters/both. Or some Teras Kasi utilizing techniques from my TaeKwon-Do and Tim's Shaolin could be interesting. My other idea is a Matrix fanfilm, in a practice sequence not unlike that at the beginning of Final Flight of the Osiris in the Animatrix.
