    It's official.....
    http://www.msichicago.org/temp_exhibit/starwars/index.html

Thanks to MusicTrooper for giving me the "heads up" that tickets are now going up for sale....

This exhibit is AWESOME! Cheryl, Lionel, Emma and I traveled to COSI in Columbus in July to see this exhibit...and it is REALLY fantastic!

There is much more to the exhibit than the "Magic of the Myth" exhibit...and the trip in the Millenium Falcon is not to be missed...

We definitely need to plan an outing to this!

and so, that would apply to any and all in costume?

    or

I wonder if you would be allowed to attend in costume
as just a member of the regular public, and not a part
    of any special event????????????????????

Especially cotumes that really make it difficult
for those who do not know you to ID you...........

Without going into all the sordid details..the members of The Jedi Assembly gathered at COSI in Columbus to see the exhibit...we purchased our own tickets...and were not there in any "official capacity"....we had 20+ Jedi touring the exhibit in costume...and the patrons loved it...

I just went to Body Worlds at the Phoenix science museum this week....I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend seeing it. There's nothing cooler than people-jerky. The doctor/artist who does these works is extremely:
    a) insane
    b) brilliant
    c) respectful

Anyone who doesn't go is cheating themselves.

body worlds is the one with the cut-up dead bodies, right?

made me very creeped out and a little sick. if you don't like staring at corpses, it's not worth it.

    luckily, bosh LOVES that.

Dartha you're such a ******. I did love it though. In fact I paid one of the night security guards a few bucks for some "quality alone time"....you know, how we used to pay Bob for some quality alone time with the Wampa costume at MoM.

You should be expected to be relatively fascinated and a little taken-aback by the sight of preserved brains, skins and sphincters...or, you could cower in the corner and wet yourself like Dartha did.

So I just saw Body Worlds 2 today...Me, my grandma and my sister got to the museum at around 11am...went to redeem our tickets and found out everything was sold out today...Body Worlds was free at 5:15 at the earliest, so we stayed from 11-around 6pm...It was rather boring. Not worth the wait.

Just thought a bump to this thread as a reminder should be ok:)

Anyway, have just checked the MSI web site, and it still shows,
tickets available and there does not seem to be anytime period
    that is not available.

For my part, am planning on going on a weekday sometime in the morning,
in hopes of avoiding too much chaos.

If anyone knows any other details on this, or is familiar with
museum policy on such things as camers, clothing, how long you
can just hang around (or if) beyond the times on your ticket,
is the exhibit a guided tour like event, etc, etc, etc.

Meant to do this yesterday, but work was insane.
    or
on 6-5-2007 the countdown to this is 4-months til 10-05-2007

I know that in addition to costuming the event I would like to take a day off work and go during the week to see it again....however...I will probably wait a few weeks so that the crowds will be not as big...

Hi, I'm planning to come up to the exhibit (I'm from Southern Indiana) and was wondering if there was any plans for something special opening weekend? I went to the Myth and the Magic, as well as one that came to the Indianapolis Children's Museum durning C2, and I'm pretty excited about another exhibit coming soon.

Not really much going on opening weekend...which is kind of crummy when you consider the big "gala" events the other cities have had...

All the MSI has been talking about so far is the Thanksgiving Day Parade..
