What about us meeting on top of the platform, under all of the floating gold balls, right outside the doors? Not sure if there will be a mass of people or not. Either way, if we're right there on it,we should all see each other. DH, you've been down there more than me, what do you think?

Yep, it might be crowded. I'm hoping DH will have a better place in mind. If not, we can scope out the joint on Wednesday and let everyone know on Thursday. We still have another week+ before the group goes.

 

Isn't there a black jet of some kind out front? that may do.

No black jet by the entrance. However, there's one directly in front of the entrance of the Flight Museum in San Diego. But, I'm guessin' that you'll miss us if you wait there.

I know, we can have DH take a of picture of where we should meet and then post it with directions. Can't get much simpler than that. And, since I already know where we're going, I probably won't get lost!! That might be a first!

 

Meet by the truck on the scale before the entrance. Trust me; you'll know it when you see it.

It's no where near the entrance to either build. I think it's more out on the street.

I thought about the scale, too. Just have to make sure that those using the underground parking come up and find it. Let us do some "recon" and we'll let ya'll know.

I would agree, the truck is probably the easiest, although the "black plane" is the SR-71 Blackbird and isn't too far away. Both places are on the museum property and safer than off of it... I'd say just across the bridge/walkway from the truck considering if it's busy, all the kids will be trying to move those scales.

FYI, for costumed volunteers for the gala fundrasier ball you must e-mail Shawn if your going to take part as soon as you can, check the list on the 501st boards to make sure your name is on the list.

 

Or the SDSWS board. Or the Sunrider Base Project board. Whichever board you're on.

 

Let's plan on meeting under the HUGE 3PO banner on the back of the IMAX building. It's kinda hard to miss. Regardless of where you park, it can be seen as you're driving in. We're pretty well connected with cell numbers, so if you miss it, just call somebody. If you don't have my cell # and want it, just PM me.

What time are we meeting? Personally, I think it's gonna be crazy, so I'd say about an hour before our movie start time. What say you?

line .....) - I am going to be there early - not 6 weeks - but
at least a few hours earlier....

 

I'll need to give them the final count at 9am so everyone should aim to be there by then.

We're meeting under 3PO. It's a much more obvious spot.

 

I have one ticket available if anybody wants it. The better half is going to miss it cos of sitting the RICA exam.

 

DH & I both volunteered/requested to work at the Discovery Ball at the Science Center on next Saturday night. We both were approved/accepted! Considering that individual seats for this shingdig are $650, volunteering is the only way I could ever go! This should be great fun!
