Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination

Is anyone up for taking a trip to see it at the Franklin Institute in Philly? Its going to be there February 2008 through May 4, 2008. Here are some of the exhibits highlights (and yes Philly will have The Falcon)!

Eh, maybe, if enough other people decide to make the trip. But I've already seen it and don't feel a burning need to see it again.





It's a good excuse to get cheesesteaks, though.

Ive seen it twice in Boston but it still might be a good excuse in the winter to make a road trip. Lets keep it in mind to think about after the holidays. --Billy

Also, the nice thing about it being in Philly is that it isn't that far away. We could make it a day trip.

And we could goto Buca de italian place to eat!! And sit at the Popes table. --Billy

You know, I've never had a real Philly Cheesesteak.

I've passed the idea onto our DC neighbors, so we may have more people. Maybe, just maybe.... enough to sit at the Pope's table!

And Pat's Steaks is the place to go for cheesesteaks. Yum...

I'm partial to Jim's Steaks on South Street. But Pats' and Gino's are 24 hour so for that late night snack. . . .

Lets bring up potential dates at the meeting. Are there any cons going on in Philly during those months? Wizard World, Philcon etc. ? --Billy

Its getting closer and closer. I so wanna see it again.

We decided at the meeting that we're going to pick a date for this ourselves and then invite DC to join us. Who wants to start by proposing some dates?

The weekend of March 1st? 2/23?

These are weekends that won't work for me:
2/10 (Our Meeting)
2/16
3/9 (Meeting)
4/4 (I-Con)
4/13 (Meeting)
4/18 (NYCC)


Its running until 5/4.

Wow, okay... I don't mind picking a meeting weekend to have this trip, since we'll all be together anyway -- unless we have major I-CON stuff to discuss or something. I think we could work around that regardless. Amongst the remainder, I have something going on the weekend of 3/1, so my first choice is the weekend of 2/23. That's the weekend after Farpoint. What say you folks?

I'm working every weekend in FEb.
Minus the Meeting Feb10 weekend.
In March I'm going to FL for 10 days
for Baseball Spring Trainning.
So I guess I'm out

We ran the idea about over dinner and the majority seemed to agree we might wait until after I-CON to try this trip. Unless someone else has any ideas or making it a day trip. --Billy
