Star Wars with a Final Fantasy-like Storyline

My question is: could it be done? With a few minor changes to names, places, etc I think it could be a very good idea!

 

Yeah, but what is the point of a different fantasy setting to take over another?

 

It's not taking it over, its just to use as a base storyline, and change as much FF stuff to SW stuff so it makes sense and I think you have a good storyline.

Everything would be completely different of course.

No, I was thinking more along the lines of X-2 or X.

Hmm...I see Final Fantasy 7 better working as a Starwars adaption though. With a corrupt party and stuff.

However IX could work too, only I would do it in an ancient setting.

 

I'd say VII or VIII - with the whole orphan thing. But I think everyone would recommend their own favorites.

 

Yeah definately. The orphan thing could work quite nicely.

 

It all depends on which angle you want to work. If you want the whole fish out of water angle, FFIV or FFIX would be the way to go. However, not many of the FF's are SW like aside from the "cameo" in FFVI.
