Starcraft 2 and Starcraft Ghost

Sre there any plans for a Starcraft 2? It's been so long. And the way it ended, with the threat of the Hybrids and Duran out there, why wouldn't there be another game?

Also, what's happening with Starcraft: Ghost?

 

Ghost keeps getting delayed. Last I remember hearing, it switched developers and the new developer couldn't salvage anything; it's currently slated for winter 2005, IIRC.

 

Blizzard will probobly announce a new game at E3 this year. Probobly either Diablo 3 or Starcraft 2. Actually, why not both? I think that I can safely say, sight unseen, that I would buy both.

 

Or 'Population crisis in Korea'.

 

Warcraft 3 units and buildings copied heavily from Starcraft. Why not make a Starcraft 2?

I must get my grubby hands on that Warcraft some day . . .

 

You can bet they will have Starcraft 2 in the works at some level, if not Diablo III. They would be silly not to continue the series in some way or form after the continued success of Warcraft. World of Starcraft anyone?

 

they will probably do SC2 beuase WOW just came out.

They need to give that some time before they start adding to the history.

I actually think its going to be Diablo 3 considering they needed jobs for Blizzard North (especially a project manager who has experiences with RPGs)

So I guess Starcraft 2 won't hit the market in a while.

StarCraft 2 will be out 2047, Blizzard needs to take their time and we'll have to wait through 50 more WarCraft games, 1 more diablo game and 2 more StarCraft console shooters which will be in the works for 42 years.

 

I'd rather have an awesome game that takes 5 years to make than a mearly "good" game that takes 1. And BlizzCon is coming in October. Maybe there will be some sort of announcment there?

 

The latest news is that a WOW expansion is to be announced at blizzcon. No starcraft 2 unfortuantley. As far as ghost is concerned that will be out sometime early 2006 hopefully.

 

Awww really? That's so dissapointing. I know I'm probobly a minority here but I could care less about WOW.

 

Blizzard did have a playable demo of Ghost at Gen Con this past weekend and it seemed like it was coming along nicely. It could stand some polish and I thought the stealth kill system was totally busted (you have to twitch the sticks in conjunction a number of times before you can kill a guy), but it looks promising.
