I got bored and played as terran. I went up against a gold zerg and destroyed him. I played like crap.



it's sad how easy it was... I went mass marines and his banelings still couldn't do anything to me. Terran=broken

My first time playing terran in a non-joke game(I've hopped on as terran a few times in custom games just to cheese people) and I wiped the floor with the dude... by massing marines... with no stim.

 

I played a ladder game last night. 15 seconds in this dude is like, "You want a free win?" and I said "sure."

VICTORY!

Why can't they all be like that?

 

Those are always amusing. I've not been able to play SCII for a little while. It's been frustrating. Slowly moving up the ranks of my Silver division.

 

So, I am thinking of switching to Protoss from Terran. I like Terran. They have straightforward builds and it's the one race I have the most experience with because of single player. But Protoss offers more dynamic builds and nuanced gameplay. I'm not a good Protoss at all but I think it might be fun to give them a try and see how the game feels after I've departed the Terran habits I've developed.

I've gone 1-3 since I moved up and lost pretty badly in all of them.

 

Very cool. You had to know that the whole galaxy would be hunting for Raynor after his stunt on Char. The Dominion, the Swarm, the Tal'darim, and whatever is left of the Protoss race are all going to be hunting for Raynor and Kerrigan. Raynor had to know that it wasn't over once he left Char.

Plus, Nova.

 

Played last night on ladder. Had a tvz on Shattered Temple. Spawned close positions. I still really struggle with the tvz matchup and this guy scouted me early and ran 6-8 lings into my base really fast. I had to pull all my scvs off the line, pumped a marine or two and rebuilt the wall in to buy me time. I think threw down a few rax, built tech labs and started pumping reapers. Threw down the factory, researched reaper speed, and got a medivac or two. Then went to his main and just ripped his base a new one. He'd run his lings at the reapers, and I'd just hop down the cliff, heal up, hop back up and go to town. Wash, rinse, repeat. It was as skillful a countercheese I've ever pulled off, which isn't saying much.

 

Was that in any way inspired by a recent game Husky casted?

 

Yep. I saw the strategy and tried it in a moment of desperation. I've seen other games with 5rax reapers but they are hard to pull off.

I'd so love to do that tournament but I can't commit the time to it. Plus the practicing beforehand would have to be insane.

 

THIS game between Destiny and Minigun is just off the wall amazing/crazy. You just have to watch it to believe it.
