    OH SNAP

but anyway, that's why the mothership is being removed. Ret had a huge advantage in that game, played so well, and one vortex and the game is over for him...

Man, I love that Naniwa is able to take it up to and beat the two best players in Starcraft 2 history, but he needs to show a little bit more respect. Still, he's been awesome this weekend.

This entire day has shown why PvZ is so broken. 1 warp prism loaded with sentries ends the game. Every time. Literally no way to beat it if you don't catch the warp prism on the way to your main.

EDIT: Naniwa abused this to beat Nestea. MC abused this to beat Idra.

    ugh.

but yeah, Naniwa has actually played great overall. He really does need to chill with the attitude though. he's like an NFL wide receiver in a nerd's body.

I didn't see him at all. I had both streams going for most of the day. He may have been casting on one of the member only streams though.

HD works for IPL, so it's probably because of that.

With the warp prism play, zerg's are going to have to start leaving some roaches around their tech to snipe the sentries, much like terran and protoss have to leave units to deal with muta harass.

oh that's right, I always forget about IPL.

The difference between the warp prism and the mutas is that mutas are a very specific tech path. When you see a spire, you know he's going mutas. You can't just see sentries and start leaving parts of your armies split up everywhere. You can't see a robo facility and assume warp prism play, it's the least common play to come out of there, you have to prepare yourself for immortals or colossi first, which means cutting roaches out of your army. and even if you do have roaches up there, all it takes is one FF on the ramp. they can snipe the sentries, but if one FF goes down, then it's unlimited warp ins of stalkers to handle the roaches and more sentries to keep the ramp forcefielded.

And even forget the warp prism. Early game when the protoss comes for your expo straight up and force fields the ramp to make sure no reinforcement's come down to help is ridiculous too. And to think that all of this can be solved by just making the queen a massive unit, which I believe they're considering for heart of the swarm.(will also help against BS phoenix graviton play)

anyway, most impressive part of the tourney so far is that 15 year old vileillusion has knocked out both Sheth and Spanishiwa. hot damn!

EDIT: And DRG knocks MC out in game 2 with some beautiful roach-infestor play to counter MC's blink stalkers.

EDIT2: my namesake vs Puma on the blue stream soon!

EDIT3: Frak! Huk vs Naniwa on the red stream! Guess I'm watching both streams at once again...

I didn't see the deciding game of that series... because Idra and Puma just played an epic 30+ minute game on metalopolis with Idra coming out on top. They're going into game 3 in a minute.

    RELEASE THE GRACKEN

Not sure if you know, but you can rewind the stream and watch any games you missed. But of course you'll need to stay away from the internet to avoid spoilers. :p
