If they were interested in branching their properties out in terms of genres, then they should not have canceled the WarCraft adventure game. That is all.

YA RLY. Because every unsourced rumor you read off a Korean website is for truth! Debate over indeed!

 

Everyone at my school(of nine) sourced the same rumor to me. One of my friends claims he has insider information at blizzard and he confirmed the rumor. I know these sort of claims are always hard to believe, but when it happens to you, it can be hard discredit. This guy has also repeatedly given me insider information on Bungie studios, so who knows.

 

All I can say is don't believe internet rumors until you see the official announcement from a reliable source. IMO a Korean forum is hardly a reliable source and "insider" information is most definately NOT a reliable source. Shoot, anyone can say they have insider information. As a matter of fact I have some insider information that Id software is making Doom 4. They are moving the invasion to Uranus this time around. Should be hell, huh?

 

I'd like to see a Starcraft set up like Warcraft 3.

In the end, I hope the next StarCraft is an RTS StarCraft 2 but I won't believe it until I see the official announcement from a "reliable" source. End of story.

Well, considering Blizzard used the concept as an April fools prank, it's safe to say that won't happen.

It makes zilch sense for them to release a competing MMO. And if this IS true. I'm done. Completely done. (Okay, probably not but work with me.)

 

i'm indifferent on this. as much as I would love SC 2 to be a RTS I will still end up getting a SC MMO game if that's the case

Like I was telling you earlier, it's not an official announcement by a anyone in a position to know and therefore not worth taking seriously. Until I see Blizzard or a more reputable source confirm what the next StarCraft game will be like, I won't believe all of these rumors.

However, as I said earlier, if Blizzard does make the next StarCraft an MMORPG, I will officially have lost all faith in Blizzard as a good developer and stop buying their games. I'm sick and tired of MMOs.
