StarFest 2009 - Preparation Thread

I made it here no real problems. I saw the twins briefly but nobody else yet. I think I will go to the atrium and hang out for awhile.

 

listening the buzz in the atrium grow. and watching the con get buried in evil frozen water falling from the sky.

 

We'll see how it is after dinner... I might stop by for a few if it isn't too treacherous

 

im waiting for kim to come home so she can make a decision on weather or not we are coming down tonight at all, if we will get a room tonight or try in the morning.

 

I called earlier today to the starfest hotel, and the guy didn't even check when he told me they were sold out... when I called across the street, I was able to get a room no problem....

 

Banana bread is baking, dishwasher is running, kids are fed/eating, now I'm about to jump in the shower, run out to the store for some food supplies, then pack and herd everyone into the car. Wish me luck!

Sorry I didn't make it....I got stuck (literally) in the mtns with no power and no cell service......but we had fun

And I want to take the time out to say a big thank you to everyone. Justin had such a good time with you all that he was still smiling when he left for work this morning. After several very long months dealing with his separation, it was really fantastic to see him happy for a change. The RMFF Rocks!

 

That's awesome, Zoo. I'm glad he had a good time.

Sorry I didn't make today (Sunday). I forget when I'm having fun that I have to be careful not to overdo it with my retarded medical issues (it wasn't the drink; I didn't have much at all). I have a full-body hurt today and am pretty much reading, sleeping, and taking ibuprofen.

I hope the panel went well!

i had a great time this year...so much fun being on staff.

What a weekend! It was great seeing all of you, partying with you and having a great weekend! And huge congrats on the costume contest --you looked great!!!!

Thanks for the fun, everyone! I'm inspired. Next year, more costuming for me...

 

Dan and I both had a great time! He loved his Dr Who accessories (Thanks D_H and JGoC) and we had a great time hanging out with everyone. We also spoiled each other a little. I got him William Katt's autograph and he got me Marina Sirtis'. Hehe!

 

Bean and I both had a great time! I think thats the longest I have ever stayed on sunday...she slept the entire way home, poor kid.


I cant wait to see more pictures!!

 

I had a blast. So did Martha, she's never going to think about 'Geeks' in the same way again.
