Are we going blue or green for the "water" color?

 

Sorry to hear that JJ, hope he gets well quickly.
So, like dh said, we have 4 more prepped and have enough plastic to do 10 more. The other 10 will need foam poster boards, I got them at Michael's they were 20X30 and we cut them in half so it makes 2 costumes.
Fabric is needed for all of them (yes, can you believe it I don't have extra fabric for these) and you can do what ever color you wants, it would be best if your t-shirt matched the fabric. You will need 2 yards of 54" + fabric cotton would work best but most of it is only 44" wide.
We still need the 'water' and Zoo I'm thinking a light blue color, see photo on the first page or google, most of the time they are on a green wall behind the heads.
We need wood-grain contact paper and gold plaque like stickers and we are set.
We will bring the glue gun to put everything together and you have an instant costume.

 

I was thinking about using sheet foam for my "base" and a sticker for my plaque.

 

Do you have a bunch of brown and or black?

 

Check Big Lots for contact paper. If they have it, it's wicked cheap.

I just don't have time to go and get it or the stickers or the cellophane we need. So I was hoping someone else that is doing this costume could maybe do it for the gang? Q, the costume is so light it's like your not even in it so I don't think it would hurt your neck at all.

 

I got some clear blue wrapping paper at Michaels yesterday but I couldn't come up with a good way to attach to the inside of the jar. I looked for stickers too but didnt see any. Hopefully someone can find things for the base as I'm out of town until Starfest.

I got my base glued up nice and the mask should be arriving on Wednesday. Hail to the Chief!

 

Would a clear spray glue work ?

 

I have double sticky tape, we can see what that might do. Tape it at the bottom in several places and at the top and back?

 

Did you find something to use on the bottom or should I cut out extra foam for you and DH?

 

I checked Target for contact paper, and the closest they had was beige. I can check Big Lots tonight. And I can swing by Hobby Lobby and see if they have stickers. I need another Xacto, anyway.

My plan is to get to the hotel by noon. After check-in I'll be free to help put together costumes.

 

I'll be there shortly after 6:00.

 

If someone wants to pick up printable sticker sheets, I can make tags on my laptop that we can print and cut out.

 

Tags are made. They look pretty good. We can print them to sticker sheets or regular paper and tape them
