Not sure Rebels really counts as “movies”. Also, Scarif was a Rebel Alliance victory, and the destruction of Starkiller Base was also a victory. I think you’re exaggerating here.

Tfa was a decisive victory for the resistance, the republic had one scene and that was of Death because they refused to admit the threat and actually fight.

Scarif and Starkiller Base weren’t phyrric victories, though. Losses were taken, but the Rebel and Resistance victories stopped their movements from being steamrolled by the Empire and First Order, respectively.

I love it! Specially the "head on" view, where you can see the big cannons underneath. It adds coolness to a rather basic design

I like the assessment of the resistance capital ships...but again the question I am left is, WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?

The obvious answer would be the New Republic fleet remnants, but this theory has been debunked by Pablo Hidalgo himself. Are they going to try and pretend like the resistance has had access to these ships all along? I sure hope not as they would have been at the starkiller base battle. I just don't understand the reasoning behind not showing the NR at all.

I am making a prediction now that the New Republic will not be mentioned ONCE in the last jedi.

I share your concerns but my head canon states that some Politicians and Military Staff were wary of the First Order but did not trust Leia due to her parentage. They therefore created a backup plan with a secondary 'Resistance' led by Holdo. We know that Holdo shares a lot of Leia's attributes with her only faults being her eccentricity and her willingness to sacrifice for the greater good (if that can be deemed a fault).

The LEGO First Order Strandbeast appears to have been given an official name - Heavy Scout Walker. If what I've heard about there actually being a First Order Heavy Scout Walker referenced in pertinent material, I think it's safe to assume that this actually will be appearing in the movie, especially since you will notice the pilot's helmet matches that of those promo card posters released a few days ago.

Here's the "First Order Shuttle Pilot Helmet" from the pop icon posters. Looks identical to the one used on that LEGO minifig and more or less the same as that First Order Star Destroyer/SKB gunner (nu-death star gunner).

Well, that name was revealed back with the first lego leaks showed up during Jul-Aug. It's always been the Heavy Scout Walker :)

Oh I never saw any text associated with it, I thought the name was a recent leak from movie material. If that's the only source for the "Heavy Scout Walker" I can't say for sure it will be in the movie.

I have seen part of an inappropriately placed TLJ on a bookstore shelf. I will unveil no pictures or details other than the pertinent data surrounding the 4 large Resistance ships we know.
    • Raddus (we know which this is)
    • The Ninka - a Corellian Bunkerbuster cruiser, this is the boomerang headed ship
    • The Anodyne - A Nebulon-C escort frigate converted to a hospital ship, the Nebulon moniker should make it obvious which one it is
    • The Vigil - an unclassified cargo frigate, it's the one that looks like an MC30 and a Gallofree had a lovechild
There are few other details, and I don't think they would be spoilerific, but I don't think it would be right to post a photo of the pages until street date release.

Awesome! Was it the ICS? Also, I would have never believed the Ninka being the corellian ship haha

No I didn't. I only took one photo. I will immediately take this down if the mods tell me to do so. I'm very twitchy about this sort of thing and I don't want to step on any toes.

It was not the ICS, it was the Visual Dictionary.

Loooove the ships! We were in dire need for new capital ships :D

Edit: Cool detail that the plasma bombs have an imperial insignia!

Oh by the way, the Resistance Bomber is not in fact called a B/SF-17, that's an invention of Fantasy Flight Games, it's got a different title I cannot remember.

Where was the Alliance Capital Ships when the Death Star showed up at Yavin IV? Just because they didn't send them to Starkiller Base doesn't mean they don't have them. The Galaxy is a very LARGE place and it would be relatively easy to hide a fleet.

Theres Something really cool on the Star Wars App, it's called Star Destroyer Experience even though it's the FO Dreadnaught, it puts it in virtual reality so you look through your device. It allows you to click on sections of the ship, and displays lots of new info on it, The cool part is that if you go under it and lift it up ( I used a star field image) it picks the ship up and you can move it wherever you want, There's also a mock battle with a couple Resitance Bombers and a ton of X-Wings and Time's flying around You can create your own little battle image!!! Really cool stuff

Quick Info on the Dreadnaught the large circle in the middle is a Solar Ionization Reactor, it's the ships power source. The Orbital Bombardent Cannons as they are listed, can punch through a parents energy shields and destroy enemy bases. The Orange engines on the back are maneuvering engines. The deflector shields are said to protect against energy based, and Warhead weapons. It has a Ventral Launch bay and can launch fighters and transports and landing craft. The giant bridge is called an Overbridge tower.

It's the Vigil that buys the farm when the Supremacy Fleet catches up with the Resistance. The antenna tower on top of the cargo hull matches that of the one in the trailer.

Also the mystery of where do the Resistance bombers dock is now solved - on the Ninka's outriggers.

I correctly predicted that that hammerhead ship was the Ninka, and I’m proud of it.
