OH NO!! the dreaded "if and when"..... looks like a rewind on 2002.....
Anybody going to the stadium complex on Saturday for the Phillies, Flyers or Circus?
McFadden's at the ballpark seems to be a good place to meet.
You do not need a ticket to the game to enter McFadden's.
Wizard World in May is a good oportunity for you guys to meet up and talk more about everything.
In regards to minimum age requirements, there definitely isn't any, though it seems that a lot of the FFs out there are skewed to higher age brackets.
The Pittsburgh FF seems to be a fairly unique in that we have many members of vastly differing ages. We have members as young as 13, and as high as early 40's.
I'd say try to have early meetings in public places where anyone/everyone can attend so that you can attract folks of all ages.
As an aside, being that I grew up in West Chester, a suburb of Philly, and I only just recently moved here to Da Boigh, I'd like to see you Philly Pholks get something up and groovin' once again. Although it may not look like it, I know there's other SW fans in the area. I grew up with a few.
Time for bed,
I've never been to Wizard World - is it worth going?
If you like Comic Books/Graphic Novels, WIZARD WORLD is the place to go.
Wizard World is fun, I had a blast last year when there. Unfortunately it falls on the weekend of my graudation this year, so I won't be there.
C'mon Philly! Get it together! We at NJO look forward to working with you guys and gals!
I'd be interested in joining. When we had the KOP I just didn't have enough time to join.
If people are willing to get something together, then we should get something going. I'd like to have an organizational meeting come July if possible. We just need three people. If you build it, they will come...
I'm interested. Now you got two people, just one more...
That's two, I know there are other people who have expressed interest in this thread. Come on Phillyites, let's go.
Still only 2, huh? Come on Philly!
There's gotta be more out there, there's gotta be more.
We can't even get one more! I object! This is outrageous!
And it looks like we may have a third person!
I think if you spread the word across the net, you might find more interest. The local club (non 501st, non FF)can't get it's members to show up for anything. Build the framework and extend the invitations and I'm positive you'll have a decent response.
Well since we now have three people interested, we can try and get this thing off the ground.
Any suggestions for where we can have our first meeting? Preferably a Barnes & Noble somewhere in the city (most likely the Northeast). This weekend and next are bad for me, but the two afterwards could work.
I'm available for the follow weekend (21-22). I checked and B&N has a shops in Jenkintown, Willow Grove, Plymouth Meeting, and Broomall to name a few possible locations. Somewhere in the middle (Langhorne, Springfield, & NE Philly) will work.
Anyone else intersted in joining us?
I will also be available that weekend as well. The B&N in Jenkintown, Willow Grove, and Plymouth Meeting are all right around my area. So they will all work for me, but I'll go wherever you guys wanna meet.
The 21-22 of this month will work for me as well. Jenkintown and NE Philly sound like fairly central locations to all of us, considering I'm in Langhorne personally. I don't care, I'm willing to go wherever.
Shall we agree on Saturday the 21st at
Barnes & Noble
835 Old York Road
Jenkintown, PA 19046
How's 2pm sound?
Sounds good to me. Hopefully nothing will come up out of the blue.
