Doing a A-wing pilot costume based on Jake Ferrell.
    Pictures to follow

Already have the green jumpsuit, need to put a pocket on each thigh and one on each upper arm as well as belt loops since this costume has a belt.
Started making the chest box, using the action figure as a guide.
the chest box is 8" wide, by 6" tall. by 1 1/4" thick.
    the square and rectangle on front are 2 1/2" x 2" and 4 7/8" x 2".
there is a 1/8th inch edge on the sides and bottom of the square and rectangle.
and 3/8ths of an inch between them.
    the breather hose box is 6 1/4" x 2" x 1".
Got these measurements by looking where the box was on the figure and transferring them to myself
Yeah, Yeah, i know real scientific...lol

Good luck! Also browse through the Rebel Legion boards since they've got lots of info on pilot costumes.

Just a warning though, the action figure chestbox is quite incorrect.

    I love A-wings!

Here are some pics of my chextbox

Can't find any decent pics of me in my full costume though, I think this is one of the best. ( but it's with my old flakvest, old spats and old belt)

There are a couple of guys over at the Rebel Legion boards that are working on A-wing costumes right now, so they both have threads where you can follow their progress.

I'm happy to help if you have any questions.

I fail to see how this is attacking.

Um, it's called giving friendly tips and advice, which is why we all post here. To get feedback from other costumers. She was merely trying to help. ;) :)

If you're gonna post on a costuming board, typically, you should expect such feedback. I don't think she meant to attack you. I think she meant to help you before you got too far. If you want your chest box how it is, that's fine. Making something your own way is great. But if you are going for 100% screen accuracy, that's another story, and THAT'S what she was trying to help you with. I've never really encountered attacks on here.

I didn't say that your version was bad compared to your reference, I just said that the reference might not be the best. (I know people have been denied rebel legion access with that kind of chestbox for example). I posted mine because I think it's easier to look at other fans' work compared to grainy and fuzzy screen caps.
