Hmm, I might be interested in helping to run this, having been brought up in a Star Wars mad house I think could help out with this.

Committee or regular membership wouldn't bug me, but I think an age limit of about 16-17 years is good, and children accompanied by an adult.

I would love to be involved.

 

Why the Hell do we HAVE to have a Club anyway ?

I have had the time of my life doing what we do now.

Organise something like Bowling giving everyone sufficient time to save and to get time off.

I love what we are doing now why must we change it.

Well, SkyForce group then ... very interesting ... lots of theories, lots of thoughts.

We have organised some pretty cool stuff and I think we have a pretty good sense of community within the group, Starfire and I are newbies and you have all welcomed us with open arms. Not quite sure I understand why the group feels it needs to be regimented.

We seem to be organising some pretty good social events and having a fair bit of fun.

Not sure why we need a group of people to organise events like movie nights, go-carting and Laser skirmish. we seem to be doing pretty good at the moment.

Club or no Club, either way You will find I will take part in both, it goes with being a fan

 

my sentiments echo DD. If the Skyforce idea got up I would embrace it with open arms & be involved as much as I possibly could, but having said that....

What would we really get out of it that we aren't already getting out of the SAFF ?
We are still orgainsing things ie : Bowling, EP 3 premiere, T Shirts & the like with little trouble.
If we were to organise another hospital visit like we did with Parsec that would be great too, I felt very priviliged to be involved with that last time & I am SURE if we posted a thread to do it there would be lots of people volunteering & the idea would run smoothly as have other functions.

So this begs the question, what benifit would we really get out of being a so called club that we don't already have ?

Like I said, I would support & embrace the new club if that is what people want, But I think it may just be opening up a whole can of worms again & sometimes it's better to leave sleeping dogs lie.

Just as an example....NSWFF still run all the social stuff and outing they always did, but most of them are now involved in Skyforce NSW as well.


Guess one thing it does do is gives those people that don't hang around the forums a chance to get out and meet other fans.

Nothing has to change here.....nothing at all.

I think Skyforce would be an addition, not a substitute.

Maybe you guys are thinking that it'll be the SAFF/Star Walking... when did I ever say that the two would be linked.
As for the hard work in setting it up, i've done it before....
As for the ego part, yeah, whatever. I know why i'm doing it, thats all that matters.
