Hey guys. It's been a while since I've posted in these parts, but I just finished editing together a video to music that I really feel I need to share. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback from it so far and hopefully will here too. It's not Star Wars related sadly, but I would consider it a fan video, being a huge fan of the Smashing Pumpkins.

I didn't really find anything of value in that video. Just a bunch of news clips cut to the beat of, and with no clear connection to, a Smashing Pumpkins song. sorry but i dont get it.

 

That's unfortunate..

Fair enough, there's been a pattern of about 2/3 of people really get it, and the other 1/3 miss the point completely. What I'd suggest is reading the description of the video (which I'll post below as well) and reading the user comments to fill in the gaps. If that doesn't help, let me know and I'll try to explain it in more detail.

Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Facts:

205.8 MILLON Gallons of crude oil leaked into the Gulf of Mexico from April 10th - July 15th 2010.

The spill continues to cause extensive damage to marine and wildlife habitats as well as the Gulf's fishing and tourism industries.

Research team found Macondo oil on the bottom of the seafloor in late February that did not seem to be degrading.

During a 2 week period in February 2011, 24 dead baby dolphins washed up along the Alabama and Mississippi coasts.

Scientists have also reported immense underwater plumes of dissolved oil not visible at the surface as well as an 210 km² (80 miles²) "kill zone" surrounding the blown BP well where "it looks like everything is dead" on the seafloor.
