Pujols did it again!

 

I hope we win tonight, the game against the reds last night, was kinda sad. I still got faith in the redbirds.

I was a the game on the 31st. Again, I'm forced to rub in your faces... er.... remind myself how much I love my girlfriend and her excellent season tickets...

 

I really would like to know what the heck happened the last few nights.....................

 

Carpenter pulled through and prevented the Cards from having another losing streak.

I still think the Cards need to have a 10-game win streak or more to make up for that horrible run prior to the All-Star break.

Whod've thunk it? Certainly not I. But as that cheesy FOX slogan goes "You can't script October." Awesome, awesome effort from this team that nearly everyone had written off as dead in the water when the playoffs started. An incredibly gutty victory against a powerful Mets team. I've never been more proud of a Cardinal team than this one. Who were the big heroes in game seven? Not Pujols, or Rolen, or Edmonds, or Carpenter. No, it was Suppan (BTW, how absolutely CLUTCH is Suppan? Second game seven great start in three years), Belliard (with the bunt RBI in the second), Molina (with the latest edition in Cardinals' history of magical moments), and Wainwright to get over jitters to strike out the ultimate Cardinal killer Beltran looking. The magic number is now 4.

 

That's after they eat little red birds as appetizers! Seriously, I hope this is as great of a Series as the 1968 one was. I'm not sure how St. Louis fans views that one, but we love it here in Detroit!

Edmonds had the big 2 run double, and that was all Carpy (plus Looper in the ninth) needed. Utter domination by our ace, and look who's waiting in the wings...Mr. Met Killer himself Jeff Suppan.

 

Wow! Nice of the Tigers to give the Cards the game...all those mistakes. LOL
