Randy and I are going to buy the source book tomorrow (ok he's buying it). I'm not sure when we should start though, next couple weeks maybe? School starts soon so maybe we should play it by ear for a bit. I'm not sure. Your house sounds fine by me at least to start. If we want to move it around as time goes on to take the pressure off you or to give others a chance to host (and not have to drive :p ) that's always a possibility.

John, how do you want people to roll up thier attributes? I.E. 4 dice drop one die, and reroll 1's? let me know.

Umm, I was trying to decide how I wanted to do that a little while ago myself. Typically my groups do it the way you just mentioned, but instead of rolling for the 6 stats, roll 7 and drop the lowest stat. But I was thinking we could spend the first get together making characters, then get introduced to the story there.

Also, I may have asked this before but, does anyone have an era in mind in which they would like to play in?

I would like either the OT or NJO, but I'm flexible really.

I think using the first meeting to make characters is a good idea... since we have a few people who have never played before.

I would prefer the OT era...but then I haven't got all the way through the NJO series... :D

Ok, I have now missed a week of role playing. Are you guys interested in playing next weekend, or do you want to wait a week?

Edit: Ok, I know how Dajuan and her good-guy complex will want to play. But do the rest of you want to be in some way affiliated with the rebellion? Or would you rather start out as freelancers, mercs or something like that?

We can't do it this weekend as we already have a million things on the schedule. Also, the OT sounds better to me because I haven't finished the NJO yet. (I know, I know, Bad Danielle.)

Would the 27th work for everyone? I know the next weekend several of you will be gone...

Right now, the 27th looks free and clear, that is if we're talking afternoon/evening/night type deal. We have something in the morning, but I doubt that you guys are going to kick this off at 8 a.m. on a Saturday morning.

I'm still in. I won't be able to make it the 27th though. That is the weekend of my 10th wedding anniversary and also the Pirate Party.

Hey, anybody who has any of the Star Wars minis, or any other minis, bring them. If you don't, don't worry about it, I have a pretty good sized stash of the old West End Games pewter figs that you can use.

Also, anybody who will be in any gaming/comic shops, will you check for me to see if they have any large grid-poster-like-things? Preferably the dry-erase version. I plan on hitting the Fantasy Shop here in St. Charles next time I am over there. I know they used to have them, but that was a long time ago.
