Hey DAFT, looking good. 3D stuff has an especially 'real' quality to it. No fair teasing with the 'working' link to the trailer though. And I miss the little lightning effect when you hover over a link. Otherwise, this looks to be awesome! Wonder what's gonna happen when the British press gets ahold of this one.

Wow great 3D stuff, how long have you been working with EI? If thats the kind of stuff you can make with the toolkit, then I am definitely going to purchase it.

Just curious, does R2-G4 employ the fabled Velocity engine ;)

Good God Daft! Please tell me that select pic is actually in-movie footage, if it is, oh my god, that is simply amazing.

And Macho, some of us are doing other things during the day and don't have time to check the boards every hour.

I wondered if someone would notice the little update, again becuase there isn't much content (i.e. no trailer) I didn't 'announce' it.

Just curious, does R2-G4 employ the fabled Velocity engine
No, but he is equipped with 'Duel' processors. :p

If thats the kind of stuff you can make with the toolkit, then I am definitely going to purchase it.
    Purchase away :)

    It's done.

And I miss the little lightning effect when you hover over a link
I'm not sure about them. On really slow internet connections they are a pain to load. But I liked them to. I don't like the type at the moment, so it'll probably all change again when the trailer is released.

Please tell me that select pic is actually in-movie footage
You'll have to wait and see. Some of that shot will be in the trailer.

That picture is also this weeks TFN Select. ( Did he jump the queue?) On Selects, We now have enough submissions to last until the end of April. Updates will occur every weekend. (probably Saturday evening in the UK)

BTW Macho you have a spelling mistake in your sig...

    The correct spelling is secret...

Unless of course every Sith does have a serect and wouldn't be seen dead without it! I look forward to seeing your film which should explain all...

    Oooooh, pwitty colours!

I have to say, I do like those clone pods.

So, have you completed all of the shooting, or do you still have more to go?

Wow daft, what I'm looking at though is truly a breakthrough in visual effects... how long does it take EI to render that many pods? I really, seriously cannot wait for this movie, it's number one on my list... and yeah, I second that question... are you done with principle photography?

anyone else notice Macho has half the posts in this thread?

Dude, post once and make it worth something!

The DaftMaul corporation wish to refute that last statement and Mr Maul asked us to say that he hasn't changed at all.

have you completed all of the shooting?
[face_laugh] Completed!, or do you mean started?

I've shot everything for the trailer and nothing else.

(un)interestingly enough, one of the cameraman that filmed an interview said if I ever made another one he would like to shoot it for me, which is an offer I may well take up. So as I'm doing it 'properly' I've got to storyboard the entire thing, as it will be shot really quickly (probably in a weekend) So this is where I'm at at the moment.

As for finish dates, don't hold your breath, 2002 has only just begun.

You know DAFT, since we've all seen you on TV and such now, you have nothing to fear. Therefore we feel justified in demanding a Director's cameo a la Hitchcock in Storm Ahead. :)

    Beam me up, Snotty! :p

So, was the Stormtrooper outfit custom made, or did you buy it somewhere?

I was thinking of getting one, but I'm a little short for a Stormtrooper!

Those look quite nice, and I love the look of the pods with the glow. The exhaust looks quite professional too. What was used for greenscreening the Storm/Nikki Trooper shot, the DaftMaul's Backyard lawn special?
