Stormtrooper clones

I swear that I read in one the EU books, I think the Thrawn trilogy that many important people or rich people in the galctic empire actually had their sons/children occasionally cloned to become imperial stormtroopers, I also think I remember hearing that It was actually a fad for awhile, I just got all three books of the trilogy today at Borders, and I was wondering about this since I remember it when I got the three bokks from the library last year. I had never actually read the entire series until then!

Seem to recall seeing that somewheres too, but it wasn't from the Thrawn trilogy.

 

It's, I believe, from an "Ask Pablo" thing in Insider (75?) detailing the changes between clones and stormies (height, voice, accuracy), and that influential people or their families were often selected as hosts.

 

It comes from George Lucas himself, according to Pablo.
