Stripped of Force Powers

Does anyone know if there is a site somewhere that explains exactly how a Jedi is stripped of their Force powers? What's involved? How is it done? Thanks.

 

The only Jedi I can think of was Ulic Qel-Droma and that was semi-accidental.

There is a Jedi technique which can be used to create a ?wall of light? which blocks a Jedi from the force and blinds them to their Jedi powers. The technique is intended to neutralise an opponent without violence and worked that way the first time it was used on Ulic Qel-Droma by several Jedi (including Nomi Sunrider), and although he was ready to fight he was unable to defend against it.

The second time it was used on Ulic though was just after he killed his brother and whether it was his vulnerability (since he was lost in his grief cradling Cay?s corpse in his arms and weeping about what he had done) or Nomi Sunrider?s own emotions making her use too much power the result was different, that time it blinded Ulic to the force permanently.

So the short answer is that a strong Jedi or a group of Jedi can create a block between a force user and the force so that they can no longer feel or use the force, and this can be done either through overpowering the target (as in the first case) or if the target is off guard (as in the second case).

 

There's also the temporary loss of Force powers when the Jedi is near ysalamiri, as was seen in the Thrawn books. According to A Guide to the Star Wars Universe (3rd edition) an individual ysalamiri can create 'a ten-meter-radius bubble in which the Force does not exist'.

 

I'm not sure if this is true, but I believe Zonama Sekot's parent stripped the Yuuzhan Vong of the Force by making them small.
