JCC Stupid is as stupid does

That's a good one. That's exactly the kind of thing I would do.

 

I got in the elevator the other morning on the first floor. I work on the 5th floor. I hit 1 once or twice waiting for the doors close. Nothing happened. I hit it two more times and then I realized I needed to hit 5. Thankfully no one else was in the elevator.

 

Years ago, I was reinstalling an operating system on a server after having been awake for far too long. I needed to copy files to a directory names i386. I was so tired that I turned to my co-worker for help:

Me: "What's that thing called, the one that looks like an upside down exclamation point?"
Co-worker (looking at me like I'm an idiot): That would be the letter I.
Me: That's it, thank you.

I was so tired I slept for several hours in my car in the parking lot before heading home that day.

 

Yesterday I dropped a dumbbell on my face.
