They;re baseing the rumours off the fact that GL said he was interested in doing something with the old times before TPM and that a film was a possibility.

Someone said that the SW T.V show might have Matthew Newton in it. I hope so, He's pretty cool.

 

awesome sounding, thats the first person I've heard of though that might be cast, apparently there going to be using all professional actors as well, so there'll probably be a few big names in there

I'd love to see a SW film set in the old republic. But I'd leave it for about 10 years.

From what I saw, GL never said he'd do a prequel movie. He merely responded to speculation on the topic by not flat out denying the possibility and that's been blown out of proportion. Basically, someone asked him if he'd ever do another starwars movie. It wasn't the sort of thing he'd prepared a canned answer for and he basically said that it was an interesting idea and he liked the idea of exploring the history of the republic. It was a long way from saying he had plans to do a movie set before though.
If he does I wouldn't complain but I got the impression that he hadn't even realy thought about it until he answered that one question on the spur of the moment. Hardly a plan there.

 

I agree- I think after Indy IV, GL will want to make new innovative films (like star wars was in 77!)

Well, I've heard through the grapevine what the plans are after he does the first year of the TV series, and it's nothing to do with Star Wars...

 

Yeah- I'm with you dude- He'll make something really unconventional and different, but it won't be anything like star wars.

 

Sorry what I meant S_M was that I heard they won't be having anyone rehearse for the roles, they will be basically calling up established actors

The clone battles in the films looked great, the cartoons were great, for 7 year olds I guess.
