stupidest 3ds max question ever....

    i cant seem to put a starfield in the BG of my shot, i am completely lost, and i know its going to be something stupid. i tried placing a plane behind all of the elements in the scene, but for the life of me i cant get the starfield glued to the plane!, help?!!?
