Vancouver Suggested FanForce Meet Idea

I mentioned this in the Review and Discussion thread but who would be interested in a bunch of us meeting up and seeing ROTS for the second, third, seventh or tenth time?

If anyone's interested in seeing it again I sure am.

 

how about First Time???? sure, but Rachel, i wanted to post this thread. I'd be able to, i'm a pretty free guy myself, except i have this trumpet thingy on saturdays.

I'm moving next weekend so I'm a tad booked up this week, but maybe the weekend after could work out.

 

This is a cool idea, especially since I haven't seen it yet either. So the weekend after is June 3-5, right? That should work ok for me, so count me in.

 

So we have a few people interested, now what date works best:

Friday (3rd), Saturday (4th) or Sunday (5th)?

 

Friday 3rd evening, or Saturday 4th evening is best for me.

 

Any plans I have that weekend are pretty flexible right now so any day would work. Friday evening would probably be the best, but as I say, other days would work as well.

 

Looks like Friday is a good date. Now, where do we want to see the film?

Also, any interest in making it a costumed event?

 

Well, I'm planning to dress up like a dork, ie. I'll just be wearing my regular clothes .

Theatre-wise, Silvercity Metropolis is closest for me, but I don't mind travelling a bit if another theatre would be better for most--as long as it's a quality theatre.

 

Metropolis will be convenient for me.

I'll dress up in costume so long as I wouldn't be the only one. Rudy, you could borrow my Jedi costume (I'll have found all of it by then, once unpacked in new place).

 

Anytime is fine with me. And I'd be willing to dress up if someone could lend me a costume. (Antonio? Cassandra?)

 

Cool! I'll go in costume! Of course I'll look like crap next to Cassandra in great outfits. ;P

Metropolis is fine with me too, it's easy to get to by bus.

My costume is kind of (emphasis on kind of) a crappy Sith Lady thing. Maybe if I paint my face or something it will look better.

 

Okay Alex, you'll need your own Jedi pants, boots, and belt though. And sabre too if you've got one.

Okay if we're going to go in costume, then Saturday would be better for me, so I don't have to bring all the stuff to work with me and change there. I'd rather change at home, and then, uhh, take Skytrain in costume.... yeah. Well, maybe I'll still have my car at that point.

 

Saturday should be ok for me too. With all the costumes I'll have to remember to bring my digital camera.

 

I'll come if I get paid by that time... As for the costume I have a lightsaber and that's pretty much it, I can hook that to my belt and wear a Star Wars shirt

Ok, so is Saturday the 4th generally cool with everyone? Phill, is it going to conflict with your "trumpet thingy"?

 

Saturday the 4th, 7pm or later show is fine with me.

 

My concern is that Phill said he had his "trumpet thingy" on Saturdays and I'm not really sure if that's morning, afternoon, evening, all day or what. And since it may be some time before he posts again, I don't know if we should go ahead with Saturday or stick with Friday sans costumes.

 

Trust me, Phill's trumpet teacher is very flexible.

FLEXIBLE! my trumpet teacher is ANYTHING BUT flexible, Saturday the fourth is fine, but i won't be in costume, i'll be Alex's bodyguard.

 

Cant make it Saturday, Im working like a horse on weekends.. My days off for the month of June will be Thursdays and Fridays

 

Well, if you can make it Friday for sure maybe we should stick with that then. The reason for suggesting Saturday was to give people time for getting ready if going in costume.
