Spok, WA Summer Event - Washington Fanforces Unite!

I went ahead and booked a room for the mos everettonians for june 24th, we have to pre-pay to guarentee the room, so if there are any date changes, I need to know by April 23rd.
if any of you Spokantinas were thinking of staying the night somewhere, better book fast, rooms are hard to come by already and most require a two night minimum stay, and many rewuire deposits or payment in full, there are some that don't but they are a farther walk from town like this one that I considered:

Hey all, we were discussing at our last meeting this past monday, exactly where in town and at what time do we all actually want to "meet-up"?

 

Good question. I'm not familiar enough with the town to suggest a meeting place.

 

I've been there about 3 or 4 times, the most recently was over 5 years ago. But I will do a websearch for a place to meet, do we want to meet for lunch? And then go from there?

Perhaps I should start a poll where we can all vote on the meeting place?

And then there is the meeting time, I was thinking we could meet for lunch (at noon? Or will that be too early for some?) at one of the places above (once we decide, I will look into a reservation for a large party)
and then decide from there what we want to do with the rest of the day.

I'd really like to go. I'm still not 100% sure if I can. I do have two tents that could come in handy. If I'm not able to make the trip, I can loan the tents to my FanForce.

EDIT: Uh, has anything about this trip been Posted in any of the Forums, other than ours, Everett's, and the Tri-Cities?

 

YEs, it has been posted on other forums and the Everett group already has hotel rooms. We are going with camping because we are cheap! WE will hopefully have all the details nailed down and posted by this weekend

 

I'll be driving over Saturday morning, target arrival about 12:00PM.

About 7-8pm that night I'll be going to Seattle and heading home Sunday afternoon.

Just FYI on my plans.

I am sad to announce that no one from our group will be able to make it to this. I start a new work shift and I don't have a day off now till the 2nd weekend in July. Of the other members they work on the weekends as well or are already busy

 

Just let me know what the details are. I don't know if I'd need to ask anyone for a ride or just borrow my sister's Jeep again... if I'm able to make it at all.....

 

Little update:

I have finally, successfully deployed both of my tents! The reason that I say "finally" is because I've owned the big one for more than 10 years and have never, successfully set it up. And now I know why: It absolutely requires two people.

Anyway, both are in good condition and will serve us/you well. Neither one smells strange or anything, though the big one looks like it could use some washing.

Anyone know how to wash a tent???

Do we have the meeting place and time set in stone yet? It looks like since some I have seen posting would like to get to seattle for the evening, maybe we should all met up for lunch at least, and then depending on the weather, gad about town for a bit and then meet up again for dinner for those of us still in Leavenworth?

I definately think we should take the walk around blackbird island after lunch!

 

WE have determined that there will be a meetup at noon, but we don't have that location set in stone. John and I will be going on a day trip there this weekend to get a feel for the place. We will also be having a meeting place set up for the evening so we can rendezvous with the folks who can't making until then.
